Hello my fellow school nurses!
Friday is the last day of school for us, and I'm so excited. It is kind of weird in a way since I started working here in March, and now I'm almost on vacation :)
I'm hoping to educate myself on some topics I've seen come up in the last months during the summer so I can be a bit better prepared next year, (I have a fear of having an emergency happen and not knowing what to do since I am still a very new nurse!), traveling a little (no kiddos yet!), and working PRN at another facility to keep up my clinical skills.
What are your plans?:)
*swoons again*I started prepping for backpacking a few years ago, but I was going to go with my brother and his wife, and they decided to start having kids instead. How rude
I'm most likely to end up on the AT, as the Appalachians are one of my two Happy Places, and closer to home.
Mile, Mile and a Half is unavailable to stream
*runs off to look for a rental website*
Was at a part of the AT last weekend in Maine, rafting!!! fun times!
I work, but not in nursing. I have two PAID technical theater gigs this summer for two different children's theater camps. I do a lot of volunteer theater work that getting paid for it is awesome and extra funds are appreciated :).
(And I try not to put my school nursing hat on at camp...but it comes out now and then.)
I'm also going to Whistler in Canada for five days.
26 school days to summer for me!
