...I had three self-harm related meetings today. They all came up yesterday at the very end of the school day. And one was the one that hits you the hardest: the kid that isn't on any radar and clearly you see needs the help the most.

Oh no, hopefully things are set in motion now to help these kids begin to heal. I am glad you are there for them. Were they all done together?
No. Two may be connected, but the third was separate. All middle school students. I'm drained, but steps are being taken and I work with some great counselors and teams and we do the lifting together.
But I'm okay with the glass of wine I'm planning on having tonight. Luckily, I have plans with friends tonight. We've all been there, and I'm so glad to have you all!

Hugs to you. We have a lot of that here at our jr. high. It is so emotionally draining.

So sad, hope these students get all the help they can. Thankfully there is that safety net.
