How much is your pay?

Published

I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

Specializes in Cardiac/Telemetry.

Brand new grad $21.75/hr here in Tampa, FL.

Specializes in Psychiatric.

I have 3 years as a BSN graduate with experience as a med/surg nurse (1 yr) and a psych nurse (2 years)...I currently work in a county mental health clinic and I make $3500 per month. That averages about $21.88 per hour...I did take a $4/hour pay cut to move from the hospital to the clinic but my career love is mental health...plus I really prefer the clinic to the hospital...I really get to spend more time with the patients, do more education, and I have an 8-5 Mon-Fri job.

Specializes in Cardiac, Critical Care, LTC.

I graduate in May 2008 but i have already excepted an ICU internship. my base salary is $25.09 as a GN in the texas area, i will get shift diff but i do not know the rates, but they gave pay for 3 years experience because i was a CNA or PCT for 9 years.

You take home 12,000 in a month?

There's no way... I live and work and Houston and I have a hard time believing/understanding this. If this is the case then tell me when you work at. :stone

I said it was BEFORE taxes...after taxes I take about 4500 home per 2 weeks, and yes that is possible in Houston texas. I am a BSN with over 20 years experience and I make around $58 an hour. Do the math. You have to negotiate your wages....

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I'm an LVN in Fort Worth, Texas with 2 years of experience.

My full-time (Monday through Friday) job at a corporate-owned nursing home pays $20 hourly. My full-time weekend Baylor position at another facility pays $21 hourly. My PRN job at a nursing home pays $25 hourly. When I was a full-time employee at the PRN gig, they were paying me $23 hourly.

Although I'm an LVN, I now see that I earn higher hourly pay rates than a few of the RNs who have divulged their earnings on these forums (which is sad). I also earn more money than some other LVNs in who work in my home state of California, which is also sad when you consider the differences in cost of living.

Again, I'm in the supposedly "poorly paying" state of Texas.

Specializes in School Nursing.

RN in a public school. Salary $34,000/year. Not a lot but no eves, weekends, holidays, summers off....works out great if you can afford it. Free health benes , too (for the time being, at least) Only thing is I came into the job with 20 years RN experience and none of it counted because it wasn't school nursing-could be making over double if experience was counted.

I live in northwest Arkansas. I'm an RN with 6 years experience in a cardiac unit. I make a base rate of $22.66/hr. Throw in shift differentials for 3-7pm & weekends. I bring home about $1300-1500 per 2 week pay period. Cost of living isn't that high here. My house payment is only $560 a month. (I bought before the prices went through the roof). The wages are ok but I wish I made more since I'm a single mom and I'm living paycheck to paycheck as it is.

Specializes in Adult Med-Surg, Rehab, and Ambulatory Care.

Specializes in critical care transport.

So, I've heard travel can pay well. How does it end up with working for a few months and living in an apartment that they pay for (I hear N. California pays well)? Does anyone still make a "killing" while traveling away from where they live?

Some of you have wages that reflect the COL, for sure. Just curious how well travel "really" does pay.

I'm a new grad, BSN...I make just about 3K a month in TN at a children's hospital...

new grad starting at 28/hr in northern california
