I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

I am a first year LPN and I make $19.73 an hr 75cents diff for 11-7 and $1.75 for weekends. I also have a couple of per diem jobs that I Make :bowingpur$23.00 an hr.

Specializes in LDRP.

new grad-20.50 w/ 3.50 shift diff for nights so $24/hr.

Detroit, MI 3 years exp 25.94 hr part time with benefits, I make 42hr with my agency no benefits.

wow, I am DEFINITELY the lowest paid nurse on this thread so far. My base pay is 18.03. Thats with 3 years experience as RN. This doesnt count my 2.00/hr shift diff for working nights and 1.00/hr for weekends. But I get 8 weeks paid vacations a year...which is nice. Im switching to another job soon that is a Baylor plan that pays only .50 more per hour, but I get paid for 3 and work only 2. So it averages out to be more total. I live in Kentucky.

Wow 8 weeks paid vacation?? What hospital is this? I work at a Boston hospital making 31.44/hr-almost 1.5 years experience- permanent nights.

What job do you work where you can get 8 weeks off a year?

Or is that a school district job where you get the summer off?

Specializes in SICU/MICU/NeuroICU, life flight.

Western NC, 15 years exp. Base pay is $18.83/hour, plus 50 cents for CCRN and $1 for night diff. The top of the nsg pay scale at my hospital is $23.85 right now for more than 25 years experience, the bottom (new grad) is $16.25 (or thereabouts). We are not premitted to have any OT. They will pay you for it if you end up with it, as per the law, but then you get fired, so not a good idea, lol,

I was making $36/hour 8 years ago in AnnArbor MI, so it is definately regional. The average income for a family of four where I live is under 25K a year, so by those standards, nurses are making gazillions!

San Diego - 20+ yrs experience, but only 10 count in salary configuration. My hospital is a union (Calif Nurses Assn) hospital.

My hrly rate just went to 42.28 from 39.89 with new contract. New grads were making about 30.00 and now have a 6% increase. My per diem job pays 40.11/hr. Cost of living here is - prohibitive. Regular gas is 3.60 a gallon.
