I'm just curious...
Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :heartbeat
But Sat, Sun, Mon will still give her a Friday night free to spend out on the town with family or friends. Dang, that is good pay though! This thread has made me sooo depressed! My pay sucks!
Remember the cost of living in Kentucky may be very low compared to the states here - the northeast/west coast - the cost of living has to be accounted for in the pay.
Is your pay rate what all other RNs are making in your area? I would look around - recently I went for a job interview at a diff facility - and they offered me 10.00 more an hour if I went 'perdiem' and that was day shift.
Look around - and see if you can get more $$$ ....
I work 7a-7p. I make $25.50 til 3pm then $27.50 from 3p-7p. Usually, I work weekends, too and that is another $2 an hour. This is with benefits in Bradenton, Fl. and I have 5.5 years experience. There are hospitals around here that make alittle less for my experience. My hospital pays $38 an hour for float pool/prn which I'm going to transition to.
We don't work with each other, so fess up. In order to know the possibilities out there, we need to be informed.

It is really great for information on ranges of salaries that has been shared. It is good to see also were you can be in pay after working for different amounts for years in different areas. I did not realize so many members were from Boston and Houston area. I live in Mississippi now and I would really like to move somewhere else after finishing school.
