I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

Specializes in Hem/Onc/BMT.

In ref to the LVN in Cali I am a CNA in boston and I make 18 an hour... you might want to look into a raise because I know you do far more than I do. PLUS I am just a student ... Get that money honey

Specializes in med/surg/tele/neuro/rehab/corrections.

New grad LVN at the place where I used to work was hired on at $18/hr I heard in the BHU. When I get my LVN I will post how much I make. ;)

Specializes in Day program consultant DD/MR.

Your are lucky to make that. I do not complain at the amount I get paid because I have an easy job, much like a school nurse. m-f 8-4 no weekends holidays off plus a float day. I do not do to much hands on, mostly just visual assesments, phone calls, and paperwork. I think I am lucky. My annual review will be in 2 months and will get a raise then. LVN pay here is not all that much. CNA's here make 8-about 14 an hour.

Specializes in SRNA.
For instance, I have heard through various resources that (new grad) RNs in San Deigo can expect to make 20-30 per hour, in L.A. 40-50 per hour, and San Francisco round 70 per hour.

:lol2: Umm...no, at least not the LA and SF rates, not for new grads with no experience...

Specializes in critical care transport.

The "secret" here (I'm about to graduate in the St. Charles area of MO) is about 19/hr (a new increase about to happen) for a new grad.

There's a ton of nursing schools here. Maybe that's a part of the problem.

With working one day of OT every week I make before taxes about 6000 per 2 week pay period. This is the "low wage state" of Texas, Houston area.

Independent Contractor. RN in ICU/CCU 8 yars of exp. $75/hr. With OT about 5-6k/week.

I believe. You don't have to give away the golden goose, just please give a summary, a few lines, any amount of information that can put a new BSN grad in that direction. That would be extremely appreciated and a key motivating factor for me. I love nursing, I love helping people, I love making a measurable difference in people's lives. I (would) love making $144,000-$300,000 a year, too. You are probably insanely busy (the only way I can fathom that kind of money is working double shifts 7 days a week), , just a point in the right direction.

Specializes in Jack of all trades, and still learning.

Where I live in Oz my base rate is AUD 48151 a year. At the moment 1 AUD is equal to 0.92 USD

But we get penalties on top of this.

50% for Saturdays,

100% for Sundays and Public Holidays

and for Nights and Late shifts I think it is between 12 - 15%

So I can come home with a really good wage. We are paid every two weeks

My last fortnights wage was AUD 2660 gross. We have I think 39 cents in the dollar taken out for tax. So if you want to work it out have fun!

Too much mathematics for me...

BTW I am an RN just commencing her second year...

Specializes in ED/trauma.

Las Vegas, NV - new grad - $24.83/hr on days

(+$1.50 on weekends, $2.10 on nights)

The big competing hospital system pays about $2/hr more, but I chose mine for a reason :yeah:

$22.94/hr as a 3rd year nursing student.

Just under 50 an hour, with evening shift differential, 1 year experience.:wink2: Bay area, california

Specializes in er, icu, geriatrics.

I think I need to move to another state. I have been a nurse for 15 years and make less then $21.00 per hour.

just remember, my house payment is 4000.00 a month with insurance and taxes. Hubby has a kick*&ss job in software, thank goodness!!:uhoh21:
