How long does it take you to get to school and clinicals? Both schools I applied to are an hour away. When am I supposed to sleep w/ being at school/clinicals all day and having to get up SO early just to get there on time?! Geez :/

I am in my first semester of nursing school, and my clinicals and school are also an hour away. But it's only for the first semester in clincals. After that, my clinicals will be done at a hosptital about 20 minutes away. Just have to look at it as your sacrifice being made so you can do what you want. Hoping you look at it as an investment in yourself.

I drive an hour to school. I only go 1 day a week, as this is my second to last semester. The first semester I had to go to school 4 days a week. I have racked up 33,000 miles on my car in a year. I only drive 30 minutes for clinicals, but this is the first semester they have been this close. I have drivien up to 90 miles from home to get to a clinical. I just tell myself it is not forever.

9 Miles to school, 110 (yes you read right) miles to clinicals. No sense coming home on those nights...just gotta turn around and go back. Thank God for parents to help with my daughter.

I drive an hour and 15 minutes to school each way, and a little less than that to clinical (the hospital I'm assigned at is about 2 miles from the school). Since I have to be at the hospital at 6:45, it takes less time to get there since I avoid rush hour traffic. Still, it's a trek! One I don't look forward to doing in the snow.

Put me in for an hour too... exactly that one way from my doorstep to campus or clinicals. It's an easy drive with a lot of pass lanes and I don't have to worry about ice or snow, so it's not bothering me. Although when I start doing care plans in January and need to be at the clin site to gather pt info the night before, I plan to just stay the night.

It takes me app. 45 min. to an hour(1 way) to get to school. It depends on how many farmers, tractors & wagons are in the way! Right now my clinicals are about 25-30 mins. from my house. Next semester we I will travel app. 98 miles (1 way) to my clinicals.I really dread that since it will probally be in the snow & ice.

Takes me about 20 minutes to get to clinical. For that I am grateful.

My school is 30 miles from my house and my clinical site is about 22 miles away. It can take me anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours to commute one way, depending on traffic.

School is about 45 min away and clinicals are about 12 min away. But next semester that will change. My clinicals will be 45min -1 hour away. Its not that bad, however instead of snow we get really really thick fog. Sometimes it is so bad I cannot see across the street form my house. It's even worse when you drive through areas that are mostly farmland.

The school is about 20 minutes away. My current clinical site is about 25 minutes away, but I've had them as close as 20 minutes and as far away as an hour.
