What general discussion topic on allnurses do you get the most annoyed at?
For example: My pet-peeve is the "I hate working the floor. What cushy nursing jobs are there that do not require any real work?"
How would you like to respond to these topics?
For example: I would like to respond "Quit being lazy, put your time in, and develop into a stronger nurse before venturing out."
Without being specific enough to identify anyone, please contribute with your thoughts about topics that annoy you the most.
Please do not insult, demean, or disparage anyone. After all- at allnurses we are allfriends.
Now it's all about putting in an expired CC# or using a GC visa card with no money left on it. Personally, I think that's as unethical as h#%$, but I'm apparently in the minority on that!
Which I think should be a banned topic. There are roughly twelve billion threads on this board dedicated to two generations of a software glitch that brings out and supports the absolute worst in people. It rewards weakness so profound its sufferers seem to approach spasmodic death throes at the suggestion they concentrate on something else for a mere 48 hours, 16 of which they'll likely be asleep.

Nope, you are not in the minority at all. Hence the controversy I think. Personally I agree with you. Even if the trick works it seems like cheating the system to make sure you don't lose out on $200.00 by entering credit information you know won't work. Especially since you'd have to pay the money to retest anyway if you failed.

I feel particularly bad for PearsonVue's third-party credit card processor, which has to sort through dozens and dozens of bad charges every single effing day. They don't seem to consider how their collective actions are affecting other companies (for which there are actual HUMANS who have to deal with that mess).
Hopefully PearsonVue will get their poop squared away and fix that damn thing once and for all so we don't hear dozens of students whining about it every day.

I didn't even think about the credit processing part of it! Just assumed it was all computerized I guess. If nothing else all those trying to scam the system with bogus credit card info at least are giving the poor humans that sort through that crap some job security.
I'm with you on hoping the PVT dies once and for all with their next software upgrade. The top trending topics in the student forums always includes at least a few variations of this same question.
I LOVE it when someone states in a thread, "I hate to _____" or "I really dislike dealing with patients who _____" and then the thread is flooded with replies along the lines of:
--"Wow! Sure glad you're not my Nurse!1!!!"
--"You should just quit Nursing, NOW!"
--""Geeez, you must live some perfect life to be so judgmental!"
--"Wait until someone needs to help you!!!
"
HA! Don't post this opinion on anybody's post who recommends doing it! The students/new nurses, the majority is seems, don't see anything unethical about it at all. Which is disgusting and disappointing.

It's an extra day of waiting, usually. Save the $8---paying it doesn't change the outcome of what they've already done!!
Maybe Pearson Vue should just stop trying to scheme an extra $8 out of people, then, or whatever the early result fee is now. It's an electronic test. The results should be available within 24 hours, max. The test costs enough as it is.
