What general discussion topic on allnurses do you get the most annoyed at?

For example: My pet-peeve is the "I hate working the floor. What cushy nursing jobs are there that do not require any real work?"

How would you like to respond to these topics?

For example: I would like to respond "Quit being lazy, put your time in, and develop into a stronger nurse before venturing out."

Without being specific enough to identify anyone, please contribute with your thoughts about topics that annoy you the most.

Please do not insult, demean, or disparage anyone. After all- at allnurses we are allfriends.

I think that was a generic "posts that annoy the blazes out of me." Why is anyone who is complaining about failing the NCLEX, worrying about passing the NCLEX or inquiring about the PVT using "nurse", "RN" or "LPN" in their user name?

And I just got griped at in another thread because I pointed out a different user wrongly used nurse in their name. It was in another of my pet peeve threads about how nurses don't help CNAs, written by those who have no concept of the amount of responsibility and liability we nurses have. For the record, I prefer the techs ask for help if they need it and if possible, I will gladly assist.

So I'm thinking that after I get my ADN, after of course I complete my pre-reqs, that I should get my CRNA. Do you know of any CRNA schools that don't require a lot of science classes? I'm really good at everything else except science. Well, maybe I'm not so good with Math. And statistics...I really hate statistics. Never used them and I read somewhere that 50% of people never use statistics anyway.

You're the reason why nurses get such a bad rep :sarcastic:. You must anticipate what the CNA needs before the CNA even knows that they need it :android:. Only then will you become a true Jedi Nurse :blackalien:

"My husband's second cousin's brother in law's second ex-wife told me I violated HIPPO because I talked about a real pain in the butt patient, and sent a twitter picture of the mess entitled "Leo is a jerk for a 40 year old, even if he did come in constipated!!" Oh, but I can't say anything else, I don't want my work to know it is me" signed: tamarakfindlehouse, CARNBSN"

"WHYYYYY?"

REPLY: How can we help you, is there a question in there somewhere?

"I can't be more specific. I was just venting"

I am having some SERIOUS deja vu. We had a thread (that naturally got closed down when people whined that they recognized themselves as the ones being made fun of, if you can believe it)....it was The Mockery of Nursing. Brilliant stuff, and I was happy to participate! Much fun. And now locked, but.....is searchable ;)

Isn't being a CRNA just sitting there while the patient sleeps during surgery? What is all sciencey about that? I don't want to do it if it is real work...I just want to make a lot of money. Don't know why they want me to have experience on Critical Care. Isn't that bullying??

That was an EPIC thread. Miss it.

My Next Post:

Please help with my homework assignment which is to write an essay regarding the relationship between the PVT, Canadian Nursing, and the fact that the NCLEX is really biased against beautiful people like me who are being bullied by nurses who will not retire while working at hospitals that refuse to hire an ADN with zero work history who has not passed the NCLEX in the last ten attempts, but will surely pass this time because God is no longer punishing me for not respecting ugly people who have a higher degree, but are definitely not smarter than I is because I refuse to give narcotics to anyone once I finally get my license after I repeat some remedial training at UMoneyGoodHere nursing school.

I would respond to this but it goes against my religious views. And everyone wants my religious viewpoints, especially the patients. I will pray for you.

:whistling:. I think I saw that same post just a second ago for the hundredth time this week

The simple answer is 4. Tell him to take two pills now and put the other two away so that you do not have to answer his call-light again.

But I do not answer call lights, I delegate the CNA to do that. It is not my job. Is this why the CNA's are so sassy to me, all sitting there on their phones doing nothing!?!?!?!

Do we work at the same facility? That statement is almost verbatim of what I've heard before.:woot:

So.....what kind of trouble could be stirred up if someone posted to every inane topic "Hey, I think the op of this topic is making fun of you"

And then a link to the CLOSED topic was inserted.

People would probably break their keyboards trying to figure out why they couldn't post.

(But of course, I would never go trolling like that:smokin:)
