I bought a pair of Danskos that have colorful flowers painted on them and another one that has a bunch of random colors dotted on them for my new job. One bonus was that I found them for under 100 dollars and free shipping. They look cute and fun but I do not work in an ER or a children's floor. I will work in an adult ICU on nights.

Could they be viewed as unprofessional?
Our dress code is very specific with uniform colors and not allowing prints, but it's wide open for shoes. The trend at my work is to find the brightest shoes possible and I love this! I have highlighter yellow, pink, and orange shoes, and shiny silver Danskos. Even our CNS wears highlighter colored shoes. I love this about my work :)
Professionalism comes across a lot in how you carry yourself, so as long as it's in your dress code, GO FOR IT!
the way i see it, there are so many rules and regulations in school and work and between these facilities about covering up tattoos, facial hair, hair length, earrings, uniforms and the whole 9 that shoes are probably the one little thing you can actually play around with and have fun with. so as long as its not against some kind of dress code i say go nuts! have some personality. if i were a patient i wouldn't find it unprofessional at all
My facility just went to mandatory scrub colors for nurses and HCT's. Our shoes are now the only form of personal expression we have as far as our dress attire goes (Except for stethoscope's).
You wanna guess just how colorful our shoes have become even on the most normally monotone of worker's!!!
Have fun and express yourself...you shoes may one day soften up a scared patient, family member, or coworker's day!

I wear Nikes with fluorescent yellow soles. Not a big deal! I still dress professionally in solid colored scrubs.
