You can share your GPA,experiences and total credits. Hope to hear from you all.

Hi!

I just applied for the Spring 2023 intake; however, I'm not confident at all about being accepted LOL. I have 65 credits with a 3.67 cgpa from BCIT, and 23 credits from VCC with a 3.22 cgpa. I don't have any health care experience but I have been working at a daycare for a year, and 7 years of working at McDonald's.

As for the prerequisites. I have:

A-/B+ for AP1&2, B+ for the English requirement, A for the psyc requirement, and for general education, I have A+ in statistics, A- in econ

good luck to everyone applying!

also applying, did 2 years at ubc for science so grades arent the best around 77.6 avg. I have 2 years of customer service, 1 year of physio clinic, currently working at a dental clinic which allows me to do patient care. honestly not feeling confident but hopefully it'll be okay.

I feel the same way. I’m really nervous and my hopes are depleting.

I applied with Health Care Assistant diploma. I have been working as a Care Aide for 4 years now. Been to various settings, such as Long Term Care, Acute Care, Group Home and even Private Caregiver which requires complex care.

I also have ICES report that might boost up my application with a total of 52credits( Incomplete undergraduate Nursing back home)

A&P - A-
Psyc 1102- A-
HSSC1000- B+
Microbiology- B
English- C+ (not a native speaker)

Math 11 - A
Chem 11- A

Currently taking Stats and LIBS 7021.

wow your stat and grades sound pretty good! have you already applied.

do you know when is the last date we can take the casper fro April intake

Yes I have but I've been assuming that I won't get a seat and need a Plan B which is taking LPN.

I believe there are two test dates for April 2023. Nov 3 and December 6. the application  closes on Nov 15. Im confused because when I received an email from the department it specifically stated that I have to reserve a test date prior to program’s admission deadline.

Im booked for Nov 3, just to be safe.

heyy how do I calculate my GPA since ubc is a percentage. could I just put percentage?

what does it mean by type of position on the application?

that's what I did. bcit does percentage too so I just put percentage

thank you I will do that as well. Also what is the diff between type of position and position title

You can put either full-time or part-time for the type of position. For the title, whatever you’re doing. For instance, Research assistant, Screener or support worker.

Hey everyone I am so stressed right now, I initially booked my casper for nov 3, and I work full time and I misread it as nov 4 and missed the exam. I rescheduled to dec 6, is that too late since application closed nov 15? I'm so stressed
