  1. Hey @masterpoo I've posted this in the first page of this forum but I'll put it here again: I currently work as a lab assistant with over 5,000+ hours at a hospital, volunteered as an assistant for a pool therapy dedicated those with disabilities, did some COVID screening, and worked in customer service for more than 5+ years! I’ve applied with 63 credits and a 3.3 GPA at BCIT but 2.88 GPA from VCC.. Other than that all my pre reqs are ranged from B+-A+! And surprisingly I got in with a second quartile result from CASper - which I thought was going to cripple my application, but it didn't. All the best and good luck!
  2. Hey all! If you guys aren’t in the BCIT Nursing FB group and seen my posting - I’ve made a FB group for our intake! https://www.facebook.com/groups/2269159529907708/?ref=share_group_link&exp=93fa cheers!!
  3. this is so exciting!! see you guys in jan!! ^^
  4. I got accepted too! Holy *** that was unexpected! See you guys in January!! ^^
  5. I know!! Praying for the nursing gods to guide us on this one LOL! Yeah, I was looking through that thread as well.. But it's so hard not to refresh myCommunications/application status D: Best of luck!! Update me once you get a notification!!
  6. Your experience is really up there! Hopefully there's some leniency regarding credit numbers - 60 credits in a nut case hahaha. I got second quartile for my casper, so I'm technically seen as a sociopath but who knows, I'm hoping BCIT doesn't look too strongly on those... also, anyone got updates regarding application status? its sept and I'm dying to know..
  7. OMG how'd you do for casper? that test was wack
  8. That's awesome! HCA is already an upper hand to getting into the program - I'm sure you'll get in! I was debating to take either LIBS as I wait for the results, but I'm already mentally tired from getting my pre-reqs up there, so I'm taking the time to just chill before the storm, and then just take the libs courses during the program (which I already know is social suicide LOL - unless I organize myself, which I'm sure will be fine) I haven't applied anywhere else! Just BCIT. So we'll see how it goes! How about you? And yes! Best of luck! I do hope as well that we see each other till then! Cheers ?
  9. Hey paaira! It’s my first time too and you’re definitely not alone ?. I just looked into my Casper and snapshot as well - it looks like they’re about to collectively ready the reviewing process. I currently work as a lab assistant with over 5,000+ hours, volunteered as an assistant for a pool therapy dedicated those with disabilities, did some Covid screening, and worked in customer service for more than 5+ years! I’ve applied with 63 credits and a 3.3 GPA at BCIT but 2.88 GPA from VCC.. Other than that all my pre reqs are ranged from B+-A+! How about you? ?
  10. Hey all! Just opening a forum for the students who've applied for BCIT's Jan 2023 intake! (waitlist offered students are welcome as well!) I just finished taking my CASPer test and SNAPSHOT test on July 28 - still waiting on results. Application still on 'Pending Department Review" status. I've been refreshing myCommunications and application status every day, even though I know I won't know till 2 months prior when the program starts :(. Waiting game sucks since we probably won't get to know if we got in or not till Oct (judging from the past forum posts). How's everyone feeling/doing?
  11. Hi! I'm excited yet overly anxious during my application process towards BCIT's nursing intake for JAN 2023. I've spoken to the program advisor over there (Janice) and she hasn't given me the assurance regarding my chances of getting in. I am currently working as a medical lab assistant (5 years) and had at least a 30+hr of volunteer experience at a rehabilitation pool for disability patients. My grades currently at BCIT, are at a range of a B to an A+ with a 3.3 GPA (taking one more course to boost it), but unfortunately my GPA at VCC is at a 2.8. I'm standing around 55-60 credits. I've booked my casper test in July. When BCIT takes your GPA, do they combine the GPA from your previous post-secondary to BCIT's? Is my GPA from VCC going to cause a huge impact on my application? I'm so over burnt out and anxious about this :( Cheers!
