Hi there! I'm so curious to see what amount of points is considered competitive for this cohort. What point score did you guys apply with? Also do you have your pre-reqs done?

I will be applying. I am not sure what my score is.

I have 22.47 points if I calculated that correctly LOL and got a 94.7 on the TEAS. GPA is a 3.6 overall.

I applied last week - so happy to find this forum!  I've read from previous forums that a score of 19 is competitive - I'm hoping that's accurate!  Collin is my first choice school.

I believe my score is 25.27 if I calculated that correctly. I completed all of my prereqs (1 point) with As (15 points) and I got a 92.7 on the TEAS (9.27 points).

Salted pineapple - wow!  Congrats on that TEAS score!  Well done!  ?? I'm curious - what study program did you use?

I believe the score of 19 was competitive prior to them using the Microbiology grade as part of the point system. Now I believe that would equate to a score of 24 being competitive..?  Anyone want to double check my math... ??

When I get a chance I'll look! But I think 20 would be considered competitive now!

Wow, Jessica, you have terrific stats! I double-checked your math, and it seems about right. With the Microbiology grade, I would assume a 24-point score is pretty competitive.

Salted pineapple: That's a fantastic TEAS score! What did you use to prep for it?

Do we need any recommendation letters or anything like that to help? I looked at the application, and it says it's not allowed.

Also, I am taking Microbiology currently and recently discovered that they are scoring it like A&P 1 and 2. It's a bummer that I'll have to wait a semester, but we will see.

I actually didn't use anything LOL strictly from my prerequisites and then a couple YouTube videos.

I strictly used what I knew from my prerequisites and then did some free practice questions on YouTube and any free websites that had practice questions. I don't think we can have recommendation letters. Micro was actually my favorite class I got a 98 in it! I had a great professor but you'll do great!

Oh really, is that so? I heard some people are buying all sorts of TEAS packages, so I was curious. Is it like basic knowledge for reading and writing? Also, how is the math section?

A 98 in Micro is fantastic! Oh yes, Micro is easier and more fun than A & P 2.

So, applications are strictly based on the point system. Many people in my Micro class are applying for this Fall. I doubt they would get it because they would lack 5 points provided they get an A in Micro and 1 point for pre-reqs completed.
