Baylor Scott & White Nurse Residency 2026
Hello! I had the screening but no call or email regarding the next interview. I wonder if that is a bad sign?

I do work at a hospital. I have been in MANY clinical sites, I have 16 years under my belt!!! Also, worked as an assistant clinical instructor. As a student, you are an employee. You work under the hospital and the nurse you are following license..insurance. It's contracted. Especially when you have one on ones towards the end.

I do and also home care. Been at both for 10 years...My hospital restrictions are pretty much back to normal and are keeping the n95 mask. With the new law, no place can deny, remove employment if you chose not to get the vaccine. It is preferable but not required. Students are considered employees. Collin's list hasn't updated, I believe. But everyone should read the laws, regardless of how long it is to know what is going on in our world. Especially as a nurse.

No, they cannot, it's still illegal according to the new law. The school kicking you out, can be sued as well. It's states ANY entity cannot deny or force the vaccine. As students, we are still "employees", we are working under their licenses, under their insurance, using supplies and etc. even if we are considered guest as someone else mentioned...does the hospital make every guest show vaccine cards upon arrival and turn them away from visiting loved ones, if they are not? No.
