A&P1 study group

Are there any A&P1 study groups out there this semester? And if so when do your classes start? My class start on 1/21!!!

My first test is next WED over chapters 1 & 3 in the Marieb text. I'm having small panic attacks daily over it! Ugghh! First test anxiety! I'll be glad when test day has come & gone because at least I'll know what to expect on future tests......but OMG, this chapter on the cell is going to send me over the edge! :bugeyes:

My first lecture exam is next Tuesday..it covers 3 chapters (organization of the body, basic chemistry & cells)..

It's a lot of information, and I plan on studying quite a bit in the next coming days.

The first lab practical is a week after the lecture exam; I'm more worried about that one.. especially labeling tissues and pointing out things under the microscope.

I have my first test next Tuesday and I want an A! I already know the format..50 questions..all multiply choice. It will be on the same things are your first test, Mariposabella. And an 88 is great! But, I know how you feel..so close to an A!:wink2:

I have online flashcards that I made...as well as my notes. I've also been studying each night since class started..so I wouldn't have to cram the night before (even though I probably will still do that!).

Online flash cards? How do I do that? I have been using paper index cards. It would be great to save some paper! For this next test we have Im going to study everynight at least for 30 minutes. I waited a few days before the test to study which was not good! I hope you get that A next Tuesday!

It's a life (and paper!) saver!! I write my notes out, then type them up..then put them on the flashcards..but I ABHOR the idea of writing out paper flashcards.

On the above site, you can create as many flashcards as you need..and then study online! I LOVE it because it actually makes studying fun. The flashcards are given to you randomly so you never know what's coming up. You also can mark certain cards as "incorrect" so you can study those more in depth.

I group them..so for all the body directions, planes, etc..that's one stack of cards..the systems of the body..that's another..the diagnostic techniques (MRI, CT Scans, PET Scans)..those are another set.

The site is FREE if you only use it online but you can also download them and print them out for a small fee (I think like $20). You'll also be upgraded and able to do other things with the cards.

But, for now..the site is amazing for me!! These cards WILL be getting me an A next week!

Hi everyone. I am also taking A&P 1 this semester. My class started on the 12th of Jan and we started chapter 7 today in the Saladin book. Our first test on chapters 1-4 was last week, and I got a 97:yeah: on it. We have also done labs 2-6 in the lab book that comes with Saladin. I have a great instructor, but she moves through the material very quickly. Is anyone planning on taking A&P 2 this summer?

I have my lab test tommorrow and I hope I do fine on it. Im glad its only 25% of our grade our lecture exams are 75%. I hope you did well too!

Thanks so much! I will be using that site! Wow you are dissecting things already? We were told we wont be dissecting until toward the end of the semester. We are dissecting a cat, an eyeball, and a brain.

My A&P I class started January 29. We're using the Tortura book. I love to be a part of an online study group. How do we do that?

We only have a midterm, a final, and the lab grade (no write-ups). That makes me nervous, because I'm bad at tests!

Taking A&P right now, we starting January 13th. Studying for tomorrow's Histology exam right now , ugh, what a challenge... Would love to get help with this class as well as share some of the sites I use for "fun" when learning.!!
