Are there any A&P1 study groups out there this semester? And if so when do your classes start? My class start on 1/21!!!
Hello everyone!
I wanted to add myself to this study group, such a great idea! I'm starting my class on Jan 31st (a Saturday class..ugh!). I'm also using the Saladin book. I just bought it today over the internet for $110..that's the cheapest one that I could find.
My class will also be using this book called Physioex for the labs. Has anyone used this before?
Best of luck to all of us!

What edition of the book did you order? My class is using the 4th edition but I got the 3rd edition for $30! AND it's basically the same context..just different convers. Editions don't change much. And anatomy stays the same..so it really doesn't matter what book use!
SO I just finished week 2. Stuying studying and more studying. My book came with an internet interactive disk, and it us awesome. It helped me soo much with matching and the different kinds of questions. If anyone has this, absolutely take advantage. and if you dont have it ill share mine! Financial Aide paid for my brand new copy of this 230 book.... AHH 2 semesters of it though! You also can get access to it online. I will post the webpage if anyone is interested!
I hope you all are staying ahead. That is the key to this class.... you fall behind and you get over whelmed! Stay focused everyone, there is an endingto this class.
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! I am a single mom with two kids under the age of 4. Trust me....
:) Let me know if anyone wants the website!

I wouldn't mind joining the study group!! Right now we are going over electrons, neutrons, and all that stuff. I'm really having a hard time memorizing it all. Does anyone have any tips? I've been studying on and off all day and my mind is still pretty much blank. I went and made a bunch of flash cards, so I'm hoping that helps. Still...any tips would be great!
I am using the Marieb book with serena william son the front. However my teacher post a study guide online on his website and if the info isnt on his notes he will give you the points on the test! So really the book is for backup! I started Jan 10th and had my first test last week i got a 93 i was SOOOO excited! We are on cell unit now and its a lot harder for me than the first two chapters and lab thats another story. we are doing tissues in lab. As for studying find all the online test you can find, make flash cards, and do the quizzes at the end of each chapter in the book! Goodluck this is just the beginning!

I got the 4th edition but come to find out I could have gotten the 3rd and I would of been just fine. But can't return it, I learned my lesson though.
As for study tips, I find that what helps me is absorving the information in little chunks. I am focusing on a couple of pages at a time instead of reading the chapter in one sitting, that way I don't feel so overwhelmed.
Im so disappointed! I took my first test today and it was on body planes, regions, directional terms, the cell, and basic chemistry and I got an 88 I REALLY wanted an A! Our next test is on tissues, the Integument, Skeletal bones and tissues, and the Skeleton. Its a month from today and its only 50 questions! There is so much information to learn.
I think since Im taking Medical Terminology that it will somewhat help with A&P. I hope everyone gets an A on their tests coming up and congrats to you Porcha for getting a 93! :)
Mariposabella GREAT job!!
I took my first test yesterday. It was over 4 chapters. It was SO much information! I am positive I at least got a B. I really hope I got an A. My teacher is very unogranized so I don't know when I'll know what I got.
I am glad to have the first test over and now I know what his tests are like. He had, I think, 7 questions that were short answer essay and the rest were fill in the blanks or matching. He also had a bunch of microscopes set up and we had to identify what tissue type was on the slide.
I have my first test next Tuesday and I want an A! I already know the format..50 questions..all multiply choice. It will be on the same things are your first test, Mariposabella. And an 88 is great! But, I know how you feel..so close to an A!:wink2:
I have online flashcards that I made...as well as my notes. I've also been studying each night since class started..so I wouldn't have to cram the night before (even though I probably will still do that!).
Good luck to all!

Yeah my teacher does a chapter per class too, it can be overwhelming.
