4.0 Challenge!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone! I'm a pre-Nursing student with two semesters of pre-reqs to do before I can apply to the Nursing Program at my University. Who wants to start a support thread and help motivate each other? We can list our classes for the fall and report back with updates/venting/encouraging as needed. I'll start:

A&P I with Lab

Fundamentals of Organic & Biochem with Lab

Nursing 110 (a survey introductory course at my school serving as an overview of Nursing)

Sociology 105

I'd love to hear what everyone is taking! Good luck, you can do this!

:specs::)

Got 3 A's! (AP1 w/lab, Nutrition, and Organic and Biological Chem w/lab)

Nervous about the Spring though!!

I got an A for Anatomy & Physiology Lectute, a B for A&P Lab, and an A for Developmental Psych = 3.9 GPA.

Close enough! :cat:

I'm on my 2nd Semester of prerqs!

I'm taking 16 credit hours... 0.0

Microbiology & Lab

Lifespan Development Psych

Academic Writing

Food & Nutrition

Computer Science

I got a 3.8 first semester! I want a 4.0!

After this 2nd semester! I've got a few classes over summer then I apply...ahhh I think I'm gonna throw up! LOL It's going so fast!

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!

I met the goal too, 4.0. :-). Good job, everyone!

I beat the challenge for another semester! I'm proud to say I'll be able to apply to my nursing program with a 4.0! I still have a few gen eds to knock out by the time I start nursing school, so I'm hoping to keep my 4.0 until then!

But once nursing school starts, all bets are off! lol!

I got a 4.0 my first semester but I wasn't able to take any science courses. I took English 101, algebra, humanities, an activity (we have to take two), and guidance. So pretty easy. I have biology, chemistry, psych, and anthropology next semester. Gonna work really hard to keep my gpa up!

Today is the first day of our new semester! Let's do the challengeeeee againnnnn!

Rocky horror anyone? :)

GOOD LUCK! Stay focused!

Specializes in Med-Surg.

I got a 3.7 this semester. It was my lowest so far, but I'm not giving up! My semester starts 1/23 and I'm taking:

Microbiology (w/lab)

Pathophisiology

Nutrition for Nursing

Informatics

American History

Communications

Let's all get those 4.0s!

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I've managed to keep a 4.0 thus far and God willing, I'll be able to do it again. I'm taking:

Microbiology

Nutrition

Developmental psych honors

Leadership development honors

Contemporary Lit honors

Service Learning Honors

I am an idiot, but a couple of the required classes didn't count toward my financial aid grant, so I had to take 18 freaking credits just to qualify for full time. I want to die. I'm also doing an international politics class in summer term, but because it is a study abroad program (going to France and Belgium this July), ALL the work is to be completed during the spring term. While working full time as an LPN. UGH. I did 18 credits last semester too with much more science, but these classes have so much darn busy work! I'd rather have a couple big exams than a thousand mini-assignments due every week.

If I don't make it, tell my family I love them (and the medicaid coordinator for my patient that I hate her).

I want to take the challenge too! Are there any others that are BRAND SPANKING NEW besides me? I'm taking: Medical Terminology English 101Math 98 ( I'm old and have to do well to test into college algebra) Biology 121 Great idea! Good luck everyone :-)

I would like to join in on this challenge, This is my 1st semester and I have

Human Anatomy Physiology w/ Lab

Intro to Health Care w/ Lab

Technicolourhobo, I noticed you took bio and chem. How was it taking those two classes together?
