  1. I find myself being extremely competitive when it comes to my grades. It's my fear of not getting into a program.
  2. Congratulations!
  3. I'm just beginning this semester I have ENG 101 and BIO 121. I am also taking Medical Terminology online. I thought it would help make A&P a little easier. I'm also taking PSYCH 201 and math. I'm hoping to test into Statistics. I'm an adult learner returning after 20 years out of school. My school has the 2 year ADN program, so my plan is to take as many of the requirements for the BSN program. I don't know how much I study, but it seems like that is pretty much all I do. I agree with the others to make a schedule of what/when you're going to study.
  4. Thanks for posting Avatar advice.
  5. Thank you for the Avatar Advice. :-)
  6. Sending prayers your way, I can only imagine how stressed you are. Is there an online community of others with Stargardt's Disease? I have Tuberous Sclerosis, it has helped me bring real life expectations versus statistics. Take it one day at a time, don't give up your dream. Best, Shannon
  7. I'm 41 and returning to school after being away many years. I've never been strong in math and am a little surprised I tested in Math 98. I have to really "get it" so I can retake the placement finish math requirements a year from now. Was anyone in a similar situation? Advice GREATLY appreciated! Shannon
  8. I've just started this week, so it's too early to say for me. I would second having a study plan and stick to it. I have two daughters, they are 8 and 6- in school all day. The challenge for me will be BIO 121 on Sunday. As the others have said, so many have succeeded before us. Best of luck! Shannon
  9. Thank you LClark, that was great advice.
  10. I want to take the challenge too! Are there any others that are BRAND SPANKING NEW besides me? I'm taking: Medical Terminology English 101Math 98 ( I'm old and have to do well to test into college algebra) Biology 121 Great idea! Good luck everyone :-)
  11. Yay! Awesome news, where there is a will there is a way. Best of luck to you and your family.
  12. Thank you everyone who posted! I'm just starting my prerequisites at 41 and an eight year hiatus from college learning. All of your habits/routines were very helpful.
  13. Forty-one years young and starting pre-reqs in a week. Forty is the new thirty right?! You're going to do great!
  14. I'm 41 and starting completely over. Here is what I'm taking Biology 120- Medical TerminologyBiology 121English 101Math 98 ( I'm mathematically challenged, hopefully I do well and can re-test into Math 118)Good luck to you!
