BON question
I just graduated and submitted my paperwork. I have my ATT but still not approved through state. When I look online at my application, I still have unmet requirements but no idea what they are. Can anyone tell me?!

Labor and Delivery nurses-question from student
I plan on going straight for my BSN. I am willing to do whatever it takes and we have several hospitals in my area that are constantly hiring. My family and I plan on moving eventually as well.

Labor and Delivery nurses-question from student
I had a question for labor and delivery nurses. I will begin nursing school in August and dream of being a labor and delivery nurse. I currently work in a children’s hospital as a nurse tech. I know it is cliched to want to work in L&D but I feel it has a different meaning for me. When I had my second child, I had a rough delivery and my nurse was absolutely amazing. I decided after having my baby, that I wanted to be that kind of a nurse to another mom. I wanted to show the same support and love that I received while having my child. Anyways, what would I need to do in order to achieve those dreams of being a L&D nurse? I would like all and any information possible. Thank you!

CNA, Mom and first time working night shift
My kids are 6 and 3.5. My 6 year old goes to school full time. My 3.5 year old goes to school 3 days a week.

CNA, Mom and first time working night shift
As my title suggest, I am a mom who is taking her first night shift CNA position. I will be working part time as well. Anyways, my question is what does a typical schedule look like to night shift nurses? Meaning what you do after work and how do you make night shift blend with home.

Connors State College
Bump! Does anyone have any information? I'm curious what everyone's points were for admissions into the program.

I'm taking my Kaplan test in January. Is the test similar to the Hesi?

Connors State College
Are there any graduates or people going to Connors State College? Just curious how reputable and how the program is. I'm considering applying there. Thank you.

I have a question for the ones in the program or that has graduated. I'm looking into the program but not entirely sure how it works. I'll be a transfer student. Can I retake a few classes to get better grades? My main concern is getting into the program. What was your GPA when being accepted? Thanks!

Denied Nursing School.... Again
My GPA is low because of personal issues in the past. I had a boyfriend-who later turned into my husband- being deployed, my father was deployed and I had a lot on my plate at that time. I also did not have parents that helped guide me down the path of finding a good school and helped me achieve my dreams. I was a mom at 20 years old and married at 20. The list goes on. I have no issue going to get my LPN, but the programs (again) in my area are not accredited nationally. That's an issue because I'm moving in 2 years and that will ultimately hurt me because I won't be able to transfer my license. There is a school where I am moving that is private that I'm very much considering. I will hopefully be moving into the Chicago area where my husband is from in the next 2 years. There's more schools there then they are here. I'm hoping that will increase my chance. Trust me, if I could change the past, I would. I just didn't have good parents that made me feel like school was a priority.

University of St. Francis - Joliet
Would you suggest someone in my case, with a 2.9 GPA, go for my LPN first before transferring?

University of St. Francis - Joliet
Is it pretty competitive to get in to the program? I've applied and been accepted to the school. I still have classes I need that aren't through St. Francis. In my area, I'm having a hard time being accepted because of grades. It's highly competitive because of the location and the amount of programs.

Denied Nursing School.... Again
I've retaken the core classes I did not do well in. I have my CNA. When I was younger, I had a few things going on in my life and didn't do well in school. Now it's biting me in the butt. There's not many programs I can apply to in my area which affects the programs I can apply to. There's two Rn programs and one LPN which is not ACEN accredited. I would have gone that route but since it's not acen, I decided not to because I'm moving in a few years and the bridge programs there need it to be accredited. It's just crappy and I'm feeling like it's just not meant to be.

Denied Nursing School.... Again
I was sadly denied nursing school again. I have applied the last 2-3 years and keep getting denied. I'm 27 years old with two kids. I feel like a failure because I can't get in. My grades probably aren't like they should be, but I have taken too many classes that won't bring my GPA much. My GPA looks like a 2.9. I'm ready to give up. Is there anyone out there that has felt the way I do and have succeeded? I feel like I will never get in. There's only one or two schools that I can apply to, and I have applied to both. One of them is highly competitive, and the other is pretty competitive as well. I just feel like I am not good enough.
