  1. To those who started working at St. Francis... How is the orientation process? I heard it was short, but did you feel prepared to be on your own after?
  2. I also graduated from Molloy. I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions. I was hesitant to go to Molloy at first due to the time it would take to get my BSN. But, I'm glad I did. The professors are very knowledgeable and they really prepare you. I loved that they were also very supportive.
  3. How many hours should you wait after the exam to try the PV trick?
  4. I'd say just go for it. :) It doesn't hurt to try. What other internships/externships are you applying to?
  5. Thank you so much for your help! :)
  6. Thank you!! I'll definitely get a cheap blood pressure cuff. My program requires this dual-head stethoscope. Do you have any recommendations for that? Would cheaper stethoscopes work less effectively? Thanks!
  7. Any recommendations for: Dual Head Stethoscope? (I'm not really sure what this "dual head" is) And sphygmomanometer? Do brands matter? I've heard Littmans are good for stethoscopes but wasn't sure if they offer "dual head" ones... Thank you in advance!!
  8. Thanks for your reply! Can I ask what Chem courses you took?
  9. Got 3 A's! (AP1 w/lab, Nutrition, and Organic and Biological Chem w/lab) Nervous about the Spring though!!
  10. To those who got in... can I ask you your stats? I'm just beginning my second degree BSN but I'd ultimately like to become a CRNA and apply to Columbia's program. Also, what Chemistry course(s) did you take (aside from Organic Chem)?
  11. Thank you all for your responses! :)
  12. This is a silly question but is it at all possible to take your NCLEX exam prior to graduation? ....And is it at all possible to start working or training sooner? (say if you got a job offer prior to graduation and the NCLEX, can you immediately start orientation/training?)
  13. I'm taking AP2 w/lab, Micro w/lab, Human Growth and Development, and a Nursing history course (req)
  14. I received my acceptance this week... but I changed out of the DDP to transfer student... so I'm not sure when they will send DDP acceptances out
  15. Thanks so much for letting me know. Your response is extremely helpful. I was studying the sample course progression on the website and, yeah, something didn't make sense... Do you know their policy of traditional BSNs changing to Dual Degree once in the program? Has anyone done this in your year/cohort? Also - how were the summer classes? Did you take them full time? I concerned about the short time frame and heavy work load. How do you like the program aside from the time it takes to complete it? Thank you again!
