Some of you probably have seen a thread like this already.

I put this one up to "freshen-up" the forum.

I am pretty sure everyone has at least something they can throw up onto here.

So, I ask you fellow nursing student (or nursing student alumni)....what makes a Nursing student....erm...a Nursing student?

When you decide to take a relaxing bath and read while in the tub and the book is a Reviews and Rationales book

Get your hair cut short to save time

Refuse to go on nights out because you HAVE to study

Wake up at 6am on a day off....just because your body isnt used to the luxury of a lie in

Get excited by a COOL fobwatch......like the ones a lot of the pediatric nurses have

Work 13 hour shifts for 0 moneys

It makes your day when an RN praises you (the relief!)

When you follow the handwashing steps.......ALL the time....and get funny looks

When you have great friends to share your experiences with and cry with and laugh with and get hugs from!! :) :)

Hahahaha I so do that! But I actually seem to retain well, maybe because I'm so relaxed :) I have one to add..

When you start to think of anyone as a patient or case study. All the sudden I realized I would just be lookig at someone ad think hmm "well that's abnormal, she must have this or that" I even noticed my cousins rash on his legs that he hadn't, which was just an allergic rx he had :)

Also-when you abbreviate EVERYTHING

When an 18 month relationship, with the only one you have ever loved, falls apart because they say I don't give them the attention they deserve, and they find fulfillment in another man, and then blame the cheating on you not having sex in 3 months because I have to go to sleep at 9 PM, while and awake at 5 am, while their unemployed and playing xbox till 2 am, and I can still manage a 30 hour a week job... I was doing nursing school for US, I told him that the next two years would be hard, but during the summer and breaks we would have each other, and now I am more alone then ever...
