Some of you probably have seen a thread like this already.
I put this one up to "freshen-up" the forum.
I am pretty sure everyone has at least something they can throw up onto here.
So, I ask you fellow nursing student (or nursing student alumni)....what makes a Nursing student....erm...a Nursing student?
Got another one!
You know when you are a nursing student when you start overeducating your friends on their favorite lifestyle habits...
I'm personally guilty of this. I can't help but alert them of the risks of tanning (which they love to do), over-drinking (gotta put some patho in it!), STDs, etc. Its crazy how nursing school can really change the way you look at life. Tanning isn't just tanning anymore... it's a possible risk of melanomas and other skin cancer! I'm sure I irritate them sometimes, by messing up their fun, but hey, I'm a future nurse...can't help it.
When you know that you only need 62/120 on the final to pass and are still worried about failing
when you think OH CRAP after tuesday I may never see some of these people again
when you think OH CRAP after next tuesday I wont be able to say let me go run this past your nurse because you are the nurse students will be saying that about in the fall
when you use your fun money to buy nclex study guides

I needed stress relief last semseter and wrote up a few of these. Some of them were:
you wash your cutlery at home in an autoclave.
your 5 year old can name all of the bones in the body
you label all of the bones on the skeletons in the Hallowe'en displays at Walmart.
your flower pots are old bedpans
your answers are usually "Yes Doctor." or "No doctor."
the conversation at most meals involves blood and gore to some degree.
There was a whole page filled.
