  1. The answer is NO, AMN did not tell me to say something nice, and Yes I have had an opportunity to compare pay packages from small agencies that pays well to bigger ones that I have heard to stay away from, when I put two and two together I still end up making the same or less than. The point here is simple as long as you are a traveler you will never get what you think you deserve and or what you want to get. These companies are in business to make money. FYI I have worked for BIG AND SMALL agencies.
  2. To tell you the truth NedRn, I had a chance to give other agencies a try before I feel that it was not just the Recruiter per say it was how efficient they were in answering my questions and concerns, and trust me I have had an agency threaten me instead of listening to my concerns, I am sure some people have had a different experience from mine, but at least I can honestly say I am satisfied so far. As a matter of fact I was going over some assignments that this other agency wanted to offer me not only I was going to be driving an hour to the assignment and she was offering less than what I am making with AMN when I refuse all her low ball offers and made it clear to her if I don't make at least what I am making now or higher I am not interested, She stated "I guess this is not the agency for you" then she hung up. fyi this is the third recruiter from that agency that called me with the same type of attitude. go figure

My experience, I would like to tell you all that regardless of all the bad reputation some may say about American mobile I can say that compare to other agency that I have tried so far , I can honestly say my experience with AMN have been nothing but pleasant, I didn't get that if you don't like it then that's all we can offer, they were more than willing to work with me by making sure that I am happy with placement. In another words before any of you travelers decide to travel with an agency don't judge until you yourself have the experience of working with that agency..
  4. westchester NY
  5. I do have a free membership with pantravelers I am just trying to get some input from travelers that are more experienced and travelling in the North East area, so that I can have an idea if this is the going rate for Tele and the area.
  6. I'm sorry the first two package is for NY and the last one is CT
  7. I am still having a hard time understanding if I'm being low balled here. I was presented with two different packages for TELE. and it seems like the hr taxable coming down to 18/hr and a overall paid between 30 and 34 here are both package I was quoted, please share some light on this for me; oh yeah she throw the wild card of it can be higher. like really FIRST TWO FOR NEW YORK weekly gross:690.00 M&I:315.00 a week tax free Lodging: 634.63 a week tax free Net take home after taxes which can be increased: 1520.99 gross: 733.13 M&I: 483.00 Lodging: 553.85 Net weekly take home after taxes: 1638.80 which can be increased as well if you take the subsidy. and another agency quoted me this also FOR NEW HAVEN, CT TELE/ Step down Taxable hourly rate: $34.59 $35/day for meals and incidentals $2600 for housing $250 arrival travel / $250 ending travel
