Okay, it's getting down to crunch time!!! I am starting to *think* plan B. I still have to wait until the first part of May before I get any news. If I don't get in, I will need to bust my rear to get more pre req's in this summer for another program starting in Jan'07...
Who else is still waiting for fall 06...and do you have a plan B????
Good luck my fellow future nurses;)
I will be apply in the next two weeks, Im thinking of applying to the LPN program and also to the ASN, Rn program. The deadline for the LPN is at the end of this month and for RN is the end of May, I wont know if I got accepted into either until June. I can't wait Im so excited.:monkeydance:
how is the waiting going, you guys, or have you all moved on to a did-get or did-not-get post?
now all my marks are finally in -- the deadline is may 1st for everything (all criminal record checks, all prereq course marks in, etc.) and i heard the committee will not get together before may 17th -- argh!!! of course, they said the letters won't be out until june but how can they keep us all waiting since we have to register for other courses if we don't get in and they will be getting pretty full by june. ah well .. guess i will survive.
can anyone tell me why i have this vague feeling of sadness now that all my marks are in? is it because i have taken my own fate as far as i can take it or what? i'm not really worried as i know whatever is to come will be what is best for me and i got good marks ... i hate the letdown feeling .. maybe it's post traumatic stress disorder.
Thanks! When does your nursing year start, Fun2? I am going to be back at my summer camp job for the last summer so there will be no time for courses in the final analysis but I am going to try to keep working through my Foundations text .. it won't hurt to get a very little bit of it into my head as everything is new it seems. I hope you can take a well-deserved break if you want to -- it will seem very different for you!Kayel, I just kept taken other classes to feel that void.I told myself I was going to take a break this summer, but I don't know if I can make myself do it.
Good luck to you and to everyone one still waiting!
Ugh!!! Our school told us we would know by the end of April (we had to have our apps and all in before Feb 1st!), but I hadn't heard anything so I called them and now they say mid-May!!!! The wait is just terrible, especially because I have been mentally preparing all week to find the letter in the mailbox. I don't know how I will handle 2 more weeks!!!!!!
yeah, i suppose in the scheme of things it's not that long but it sure is long and torturous at the time!!!! i wonder how many of the committee members deciding our fate remember how it feels. i'm sure some of them do.
jbjints and mimi_1, i wish you luck in this seemingly endless wait!! calming vibes and good wishes!
It starts August 28th. The Stats class I plan on taking is online, but June 5-August 10. It coulds be worse, I could take it in one month.

My CC still has not sent out letters. The deadline to apply was way back in the beginning of Feb. A computer decideds who gets in...how hard is it to input the info to see who makes in into the pool, and let the computer draw the names??
My University sent out letters w/in 1 mo. of the deadline for applications, and they have to read the essay's, and rank everyone...the top 32 get in. It's amazing how different 2 schools can be.
I got into the University, but I'm still anxious to see abou the CC. I want to see if I can give up my seat and give it to someone...I don't know why but that seems like fun But, it's just a lottery there, so I might not have even gotten in.
