Phillips Beth Israel School of nursing??

I have not heard back from beth israel regarding being readmitted for the fall 2009 semester. Honestly, while I would be thrilled if they accepted me as a readmit I do not know how I would handle it financially.

Phillips Beth Israel School of nursing??

While I do not have her personal email address. If you go to their website and click on contact us there is a spot to send an email. From my experience, Ms. Gallo is the one answering these emails and has always gotten back to me with 1 or 2 days. Good luck!

Yes, that is true. In 2005 I was accepted and was told that I would have to declare a major other than nursing and after the one semester I could apply to the nursing program if all of my pre-reqs were completed.

Congratulations! I was going to apply to Farmingdale but I missed the deadline which was much earlier than NCC's.
  5. Hello I have applied to this program 3 other times and am planning on applying again. My grades are well over 3.0 but I have been rejected every time. I was accepted into a program in 2007 but chose to withdraw due to various reasons. I am currently finishing up my BA degree and am looking to the future. My question is: what are the dates NCC will accept applications for the Fall 2009 semester? Good luck to all!!!!!

Rumor has it, Lenox Hill Hospital is CLOSING

Does anybody know if they stopped doing weight loss surgeries at the hospital? My surgeon left a couple of years ago and is now at Beth Israel. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall.

Rumor has it, Lenox Hill Hospital is CLOSING

OMG - I am not a nurse but have had surgery there and spent alot of time there in early 2002. If this rumor is true, I am so sorry for anybody who is currently working there. I find it so hard to believe that such a big hospital can just shut down. Tracy

Any Nursing Applicants For Fall 2009?

    1. I was originally admitted for the Fall 2007 semester but I withdrew because I felt that it may not be for me (and I was starting to doubt my abilities because I was listening to certain family members who felt that I could not be a nurse) but now I realize that I am very excited to become a nurse and I will not let others undermine my determination. 2. I was not aware of this date. They do not start to make decisions until early May for the Fall semester. 3. I may apply to Nassau Community College on LI. 4. When I was accepted I did not have micro, nutrition or pharmacology. If you do not have A&P II I think that you can only go with the traditional program which is M-F during the day. I was accepted into the ATOP program which is Thursday (late afternoon) and Friday and Saturday during the day. 5. No, I will not be applying to the evening program. In order to get accepted into the Evening program you need to have finished all of your pre-requisites. Hope this helps - good luck Tracy

Any Nursing Applicants For Fall 2009?

Hi! Yes, the program I want to get in is 3 days a week. Not too bad. It is about a hour on the LIRR.

    The Patient I Failed

YOU did not fail this patient, her DAUGHTER/CHILD did. My father passed away in June from cancer and had a DNR. He was in so much pain at the end and it would have been inhumane to fight the DNR. Her child was SELFISH. While you feel you failed this patient, you were only doing your job. God Bless and good luck

Tracey, please give us an update on this thread since it is over a year old. If you haven't gotten into a RN program, I would advice a LPN program so more doors can open for you! In 2007 I was accepted into the Philips Beth Israel School of Nursing. Since I have never had any experience with patient care and I started to freak out and get very nervous and I ended up dropping out. I have regretted my decision ever since. Earlier this year I started to finish up my bachelor's in Sociology. In April of this year my father was diagnosed with lung cancer with mets to the bone. He passed away in June. I still think about nursing. He only spent one night in hospice but I think that I may re-visit nursing after I graduate. If I do, I believe that hospice nursing is the route that I will go. Good luck to all!!!

    Beth Israel - Evening Program

For those students attending Beth Israel's evening program - what nights do you attend school? I am thinking of applying for readmission and would like to attend school during the evening. Thanks

Can nursing be begun as a career at night?

I think that most nursing schools offer a night program. Once you finish pre-reqs I am positive that you could find a nursing school that offers courses at night. Good luck...
