Tracey, please give us an update on this thread since it is over a year old. If you haven't gotten into a RN program, I would advice a LPN program so more doors can open for you!
In 2007 I was accepted into the Philips Beth Israel School of Nursing. Since I have never had any experience with patient care and I started to freak out and get very nervous and I ended up dropping out. I have regretted my decision ever since.
Earlier this year I started to finish up my bachelor's in Sociology. In April of this year my father was diagnosed with lung cancer with mets to the bone. He passed away in June. I still think about nursing. He only spent one night in hospice but I think that I may re-visit nursing after I graduate. If I do, I believe that hospice nursing is the route that I will go.
