Mine starts 3/9 @ 3 PM.
Not a fun vacay for me, but r&r will be fine. My son is in the school play so there is practice next week and my mother has an angiogram F/U from a brain aneurysm we found this summer (All good).
I want to live vicariously through your plans!
Ours starts at 3PM on 3/23. We are headed to CA. My parents have a house in the desert, and will both be there while we are there, which is good, because my daughter loves spending time with them, and they will play in the pool with her while I lay around in the sun, reading as many books as I can fit in:).
It's my happy place there, and I cannot wait.
That sound like fun to me but Sweet Petunia wouldn't go for sleeping on the ground. Is there dehydrated Bud Light?
sleeping on the ground takes some getting used to - gotta get the right type of sleeping pad.
No dehydrated Bud light -there is dehydrated alcohol powder in different flavors that you can mix with water - I've never tried it though. My husband will take a small bottle of whiskey or Bourbon and I usually take wine - I carry the wine in a "Playpus PlatyPreserve" bottle made just for keeping wine good to drink on the trail :)

I LIKED this to show you I read it.
I don't LIKE these plans for you.
Hang in there.
Mine starts Friday at 4:25! I am so ready; the kids are so ready. Ever been in a high school the week before spring break? They start getting very mouthy! Mad at the nurse because she won't send them home. C'mon! You have a day and a half left...
Oooh that turned into a mini-rant. Sorry. I have no plans..rest...relax...read.

The summer trip will be our longest and most challenging we have done. I am excited but alittle concerned with the altitude - only so much "training" we can do here in Texas, I think hiking at 8-11,000 feet is going to be rough....but I am still excited about it.
