When is your Spring Break & what are you doing?

  • Experts

Mine starts 3/9 @ 3 PM.

Not a fun vacay for me, but r&r will be fine. My son is in the school play so there is practice next week and my mother has an angiogram F/U from a brain aneurysm we found this summer (All good).

I want to live vicariously through your plans!

Nothing exciting here...

Ours is Good Friday through the first week of April. We're doing a whole bunch of nothing because hubby has to work. Had thoughts of going to Niagara Falls, but decided it'll be too cold. Then thought about St. Louis, but hubby wasn't excited about that because he's a Cubs fan. :)

We will be traveling a few hours to Ohio to spend Easter with my family & sweet grandma who is having her 95th birthday the day before.

Mine starts 3/26, and I'm taking my son to Denver to visit my sister for the week.

Unfortunately I have no fun plans through which to live vicariously. :(

Working all weekend at my NICU job and then spending some time cleaning and organizing my house next week while my daughters (1st and 3rd grade) do a Winter Day Camp at our local YMCA. Their choice to do it even though they knew mom had the same spring break as them this year. :)

Mine starts Good Friday--we get two weeks this year! Taking a short trip to Boston in the middle. Probably a lot of spring cleaning too. Moving in 2 months so it's about time to start sifting through all the junk I've collected over the years!

March 11-17th - headed back to Big Bend National Park for 5 days of backpacking, this time just me and my husband. My husband has purchased a few new pieces of equipment and he came up with some new dehydrated food recipes he wants to test out - hopefully he doesn't starve us - LOL. We are using this trip kindof as a test run of the new equipment for our summer adventure - in the summer we are going to hike about 60 miles of JMT - we had to cancel last summers trip due to unsafe mountain pass crossing and high river/creek crossings due to melting snow.

That sound like fun to me but Sweet Petunia wouldn't go for sleeping on the ground. Is there dehydrated Bud Light?

Fun! You'll have to update us on the trip! I would LOVE to do a true backpacking trip sometime. We've done some section hikes of the Superior Hiking Trail in northern Minnesota but never a big, long distance.

Angiogram??? Hope all is well there.

We are kidless for the first four days (she has a school trip to Chicago...in March...whooeee that's cold). Then we travel south for three college visits.

KIDLESS!!!

We get the first week of April off, 4/2-4/6. We usually get two weeks, but this year and next we only have one and an extra week in the summer due to construction on a couple of the campuses. Basically my plans are to not work, relax, go to museums with my kids. My hubby is taking the week off so there has been some discussion of going to Yosemite for a couple days camping and outdoor fun, but nothing definite. I am so looking forward to a little time off.

The summer trip will be our longest and most challenging we have done. I am excited but alittle concerned with the altitude - only so much "training" we can do here in Texas, I think hiking at 8-11,000 feet is going to be rough....but I am still excited about it.
