What's your favorite pair of nursing shoes?

Which brand and why? For some reason, I've tried NB, Adidas and my feet still hurt!!!! Maybe I need to buy those gel soles or something..

SKETCHERS!!! My feet use to always hurt and it didn't matter what brand until I found Sketchers. It is the only shoe I buy for work. My feet rarely ever hurt.

me too! I love Sketchers.. It so nice and comfy.. plus, they look good and those sneakers are the one of many my teacher approved! :nurse:

The old white "Clinics". I wore them as a Navy nurse and kept wearing them. My feet never ached as in the Nurse-Mates. They are hard to find though. I have to order from a catalog. I have recently gone to the open back/slide on New Balance and I really like them.

Nike SHOX. I designed them myself on the website for the same price. Silver with lime green and black.

My first pair lasted 2 years, and my feet NEVER hurt in them. I hated forking over the $125, but they were worth it. (And a tax deduction)

Hi fellow nurses I think easy spirit clogs rule!!! I tried a pair and thats the only type of clog i wear.. They are soooooooo comfortable.. I can have a rough night and I go home and my feet don't ache!!!

I've only used two kinds: Nike and Crocs. I love my Crocs. :D They are so absolutely comfortable, and they are the only ones I use now. :yeah:

CROCS!!! The best shoes I have ever put on my feet. The floors at our hospital are so hard and my heels used to hurt by the end of the day, but not with my crocs. They are like sponges!!

when i first started clinicals, i just had to have a specific nursing brand shoe. i chose a cute pair of nursemates, OMG- the most UNCOMFORTABLE shoes i have ever worn! after my first day, i ran out & found a pair of all white pumas & they were a godsend- the most comfy shoes i've ever owned.

As far as athletic shoes are concerned, I like wearing Adidas, Avia, and New Balance to work. I really love the imitation crocs that I purchased at Target for $9.99 because I can wear them during a 16-hour shift without any foot pain.

I bought a pair of imitation crocs for $10 on clearance somewhere. Best $10 I've ever spent. 9 months later I still have them and they're still comfortable. The bottoms are practically worn down to nothing, so I have to replace them soon. Probably with non-crocs though...sadly...my institution banned them. I've been getting away with it for now but I know sooner or later my manager is going to notice and get on my case about it.
