What's your favorite pair of nursing shoes?

Which brand and why? For some reason, I've tried NB, Adidas and my feet still hurt!!!! Maybe I need to buy those gel soles or something..

For me, it's K-Swiss and NurseMates. They are light, feel great, and last a long time.

I am not loyal to any particular brand. My requirements include all white leather, slip-on, closed back, light, and lots of cushiony support. Even then I have to put orthotics in any shoe I wear.

Specializes in long term care, med-surg, PACU, Pre-Op.

Crocs, they are sooo comfortable, it feels like I am wearing bedroom slippers all day. And I like that they are easily washed off when any body substance spills on them, which is why I like the Aspen model better.

Easy Spirits.

you can buy them @ JCpenneys or online. Maybe not the best looking shoe, but I love them. Another nurse I used to work with swore by them too. When you put them on it feels like you're walking on a cloud!!! In fact - I need to go buy a new pair soon!

I cant wear nursemates - they make my pinky toe go numb. Go figure- I dont wear a wide either, its just that brand that does it.

Love my Nike Shox! I still wear a size 6, so I can go to Kids Foot Locker and get them much cheaper. :)

As far as athletic shoes are concerned, I like wearing Adidas, Avia, and New Balance to work. I really love the imitation crocs that I purchased at Target for $9.99 because I can wear them during a 16-hour shift without any foot pain.

My favorite and most comfortable is Saucony! They have a generous toe box and are pretty cushy while giving good support.

Coming in second for me are the New Balance. I bought a pair once that had little red metal hearts that fit through the shoe laces. Those New Balance shoes have worn out moons ago, but the little shoe heart keep going, and going, and going....

Merrell's for me.

Ryka's are wonderful !

Specializes in Acute care, Community Med, SANE, ASC.

I haven't looked for an all white Ryka to try for nursing but I recently switched to Ryka for running after wearing New Balance for years. Put a new pair on and ran 5 miles with no breaking in required. Great shoes.
