Which brand and why? For some reason, I've tried NB, Adidas and my feet still hurt!!!! Maybe I need to buy those gel soles or something..

I'm a HUGE fan of Sketchers, so I was ecstatic when I found Sketchers Optimum in all white at uniformcity.com....only $35, and they are soooo comfy!!!

Birkenstocks they are pricey but last forever and the leather ones can be resoled when they wear out.

I was dissappointed. I wore my Merrill's for my first two weeks of my new job. I now have blisters on my heels, despite stretching it out. I had to resort to another pair last night because my heel hurt so bad. I did just win a brand new pair of Birk's on ebay. Hope they work better.

I have such a hard time with my feet because I am flat footed and I need support of my feet will kill me so I have three types of shoes that I have found that I can wear:

1. Klogs- these are my favorite and my feet never hurt

2. Quarks- these are comfortable but if I have had a really busy night my feet do hurt in the morning.

3. When all else fails I love my new balance.

Does anyone else have flat feet, aside from working4aBSN? I haven't started class or clinicals yet, but have flat feet and need to be buying shoes soon. I have to wear white athletic shoes (no crocs :o) and would like them to be easy to clean if possible. Also, do you wear orthotics in your shoes over the cushiony part? (If so, does that kind of defeat the point of the surface cushion?) Thanks everyone!

My favorite shoes are actually the Athletic Works brand sneakers from Walmart. Very inexpensive and fairly durable, which is good considering how much time I spend standing in puddles in shower rooms, and they don't have to be broken in. From the first time I put them on they're totally comfortable.

I love my Z-Coils. I have an old achilles tendon injury and my z-coils are the only thing that keep me walking with out pain. They are pricey but my first pair are still going strong after 2 years. I finally bought another pair for wearing outside of work. They may look funny and get lots of comments but being able to put my heel to the floor is well worth it.

Quarks- they are rubber, come in black or white, clog-like and SOOOO comfortable! They do run about a size too big....

I wear quarks also, they come in several different colors I have navy blue.

I too find that they tend to be a little big, like too long. I love em, and they last a long time.

I gotta agree with you about the Z-coils; mine are 3 years old and I'm in the market for new; is there a website that shows prices? Cuz if there is, I can't find it, and I have to drive 140 miles round-trip to buy them.......
