as inspired by another thread, here's a motivational question! i guess this is more of a question for those of us who haven't had a real career before nursing....
what will you do with your first "real" paycheck?
i'm going straight to the salon. new cut, highlights, facial, mani, pedi...the works!
then, straight to the mall with my plastic because for the first time in my life it won't be just for "emergencies" anymore!
i can't wait!
I would like to save up money for a surprise elk hunting trip in the U.P. for my husband and his dad.
Anything my kids want to join. Right now they're in gymnastics and karate. So hopefully they will be moving up in rank by the time I graduate and we can afford to travel for competitions.
For me, as long as I am still working out, running, and eating healthy, I want a tummy tuck. I had a cesarean with my last kid and my belly will not return to normal--no matter how thin and muscular I am and how much I work out.
I am going to buy my boys two pair of shoes a piece. Now they will be able to get shoes more than twice a year. Take my family out for a celebration steak meal. Open me up a checking account, savings account for my kids and for a house, and a vacation account. By my first vacation I want to take my kids to Disney World and make this a yearly or every other year tradition for my family.
Well I live in an area that was severly affected by the big 3 when they went through their crisis, lots of people got laid off and housing prices hit rock bottom...so sorry for those workers but it was good for me cause it allowed me to break into the housing market: )...seeing as I currently make s*t the f!#k all. My son has every toy possible but with my first check I am gonna cash it and hoard it like a squirl does nuts...lol! Then when reality sets in I will spend it renovating my housed, new car, stuff for kid

I have a significant savings because I've worked since I was 15 and have been saving, however I also have massive debt from private school loans (no I did NOT use them to go on vacation, travel abroad, live the high life, etc and yes I do plan to pay them back somehow)
1. Start payments on my big $60,000 debt.
2. Purchase another used vehicle -- mine is a 1995 that is falling a part at the seams.
3. Buy a teacup Yorkshire terrier, or some sort of teacup Beagle
Other then that I'm living in a small apartment, living very frugally but am very happy with my boyfriend and cat "Pinky" and have everything I need :)
