  1. hello everyone! congratulations to all who made it into the program and for those who didn't good luck on the next application. just keep on applying and don't lose hope! =) anyway, i have a question, anyone here who are using financial aid loan? does the loan really takes forever to get/hear something from school if it's already approved? i am just wondering how long it takes for someone to know if his/her loan is approved before enrollment starts. loans not getting approved before enrollment period worries me because i might not get to sign in or get in the courses i am planning to take in a semester. i will be transferring from another college to wcccd to take the required 12 credits so i could apply in 2012. have a nice weekend and thank you in advance!:)
  2. hi chef.jackie! i am a future applicant as well. but i still have a few prerequisites to take. i finally decided to transfer this fall from scraft. hopefully i could apply for fall of 2012. =)
  3. hi ladylinton! i am not sure if they really lost their national accreditation. but right now, i am contemplating if i would do associates degree in nursing at wcccd or just go straight to bsn. i am almost done with my prerequisites. good luck to you!
  4. hi lamesz! not in a roller derby though but i am thinking about it. my husband and i go skating at least 2 times a week for 3-4 hours. it's really a good workout and it's so much fun!
  5. what an interesting thread! when i am not studying, you can find me in the "man cave" (basement) curled up on the couch watching law & order: svu, ncis, csi, border wars, deadliest catch, anime shows, cartoons, or movies that are in our netflix queue. my husband and i don't watch too much tv, we are always on our netflix. i also love cooking, long walks and working out. i was a taekwondo instructor for 6 years before i left philippines and relocated in the states. if i am not being a house plant, not a life of the party kind of girl, i spend the day with my husband and family (in-laws). my husband and i go to tigers game, go grocery shopping together, stroll at the mall, go for a sushi dinner date once a week, attend horror conventions, and go for a road trip. oh, you can also see me doing what i do best, sleeping!:zzzzz lol, when i am not busy busting my butt off studying.
  6. good luck!! i hope you all get selected. you all would be a year ahead of me or are almost done once i start applying or get in the program, hopefully. i still have ap i & ii to take. again, good luck! :)
  7. thank you for the advice, smackernurse. much appreciated! :)
  8. hey, futurenurse! i am hoping to apply to the nursing program for spring '12 too. good luck on your application.
  9. Thank you for sharing information and link about uniforms and shoes. I am anxious to transfer to WCCCD and hopefully get in the nursing program. =)
  10. congratulations to you all who got accepted! i am a transferring from schoolcraft this fall, decided to do that cause i am paying too much per credit hour at schoolcraft and it drives me nuts to see how much i have in my student loan in just 4 semesters of stay. i still have prerequisites (biology) to finish before i could apply for the program next year in fall. anyway, i hope to hear from you all about your experiences and tips. good luck! :)
  11. On my first paycheck, i will start paying my student loan. Pay the bills in full, have a lunch/dinner with my husband and another lunch/dinner of us (husband & I) with family and start a "hubby&wifey" vacation fund. The extra money will go to our savings. =)
