What type of lifestyle can a nurse afford?

Published

once I become an RN, I will be stable financially but there is one thing that I want really bad and its a nosejob. Can the salary of an RN afford it??

Definately affordable once you earn RN salary, and spend your money wisely.

Most nurses can afford their choice of cardboard box, lol.

Seriously, any income is dependent on geographic area and employer. Believe it or not, nearly all cops here in Arkansas start out earning more money than an NYPD officer, yet that city has more people in it than my state.

Learn this early, and learn it well: live as cheaply as possible, and save as much money as possible.

Where do you live? Where I live in California, RNs make good money, but... new grads are not being hired for a number of reasons. Also, nursing school is expensive, and you may wish to pay off student loans before opting for plastic surgery.

Is rhinoplasty your motivation for becoming an RN?

Oh yea you can afford a rhinoplasty - they have payment plans at the very least..

I don't know where you live but that much money for a rhinoplasty is OUTRAGEOUS by the way. It's 6k in the community I live in, that's with bone work. So make sure you shop around.

Taxes are so high in oregon water too...$100.00 a month!

What type of lifestyle can an RN afford? A roof, six pence for coffee, and a Yugo!

Well it all depends on different factors but most likely yeah you will be able to afford a new nose.

You are still very young,I'm assuming no kids/no husband, living with parents?

Also in addition you can get a second part-time or seasonal job (and save your money that way)

Or start saving now and by the time your finished with nursing school you can buy yourself a graduation gift )or better yet ask your family to contribute)

Job market is very tight for new nurses and most nurses have too search for couple of months before landing their first position.

As far as price,I wouldnt go cheap on my face, after all it is my face.

If I may ask, will you become an RN if it you will not make enough money to get a nose job?

I seriously doubt OP is becoming a nurse solely to pay for a nose job!

I seriously doubt OP is becoming a nurse solely to pay for a nose job!

I beg to differ. Her priority questions should be how to survive nursing school or our there any jobs out there for new grads.
