I hate when people refer to emesis as "PUKE" ......nasty term !

Yes, but once your patient has expired they must be bagged! I know its a bad joke but you put both word together.:trout:

Hey, there heartrn35 - you do have a point. Yep, when they expire (err..die)...they do, in fact, get BAGGED. (Body bagged, that is!)

Not if you have a filthy mind and read "discharge" as a noun...
And I HATE "dilatation". It's NOT A WORD, and no matter HOW many times it gets used (or added to the dictionary, as seems to have happened) I will NOT be swayed.

I have to go with the missed abortion thing. I had a miscarriage years ago in my early 20's.... way before I was a nurse.... and I am oppossed to abortion... they kept saying missed abortion... that tore me up mentally and emotionally even more so than losing the baby.. it made it sound like I didn't want my baby.... I cried for months over that.
Mis-carriage does sound better than the other term. I agree.
I would have been sensitive too.
