indurated, puke, tossed cookies, trots,hershey squirts, lungers, lugees,

and other slang for mucous etc...... ew!!!!!!!!!!! sputum

you would never believe I worked in microbiology for 14 years as med tech before nursing school---I hate sputum --especially bloody and frothy :lol2:

Speaking of smegma, when I was in nursing school the running joke was that S.N. stood for 'Smegma Nurse'. Lovely, eh? it was a school tradition. I think it had to do with the ugly yellow tops we were forced to wear.

Oh i DESPISE that TERM!! I always refered to those pts. as "people who need assistance with mealtime." Wordy, yes, but much better in the respect dept.

i hate the word "duodenum," never quite know how to pronounce that or "angina" without sounding like an idiot

i must agree with "smegma" EW! as well as "fecal" "stool" "secretions" "discharge" "oozing" "lesion" "sore" "chancre" :uhoh21: yuck must i go on?

I dont like referring to pt.s that need assistance with meals as "feeders". Again reminds me of a sci-fi/horror movie. "THE FEEDERS" dun dun-dunnnn.
