uk nurses who have come to the usa

I am in the usvi, and have been here nearly a year, maybe all the nurses who have posted their news about immigration, can now post about the differences in the us hospitals. I dont think that american doctors and nurses fully understand where we come from, and the working environment of the nhs, its only when we get here that we can understand the differences. I am sure that stateside hospitals are different even from here. and that they also vary from state to state, but maybe nurses who are waiting to come will be able to pick up some tips and know more than us what to expect.

already emailed lawyer, apparently they still have our stuff on file as recruiter was hoping we would change our minds, just not sure on time scale but hoping for 6 months which will mean visa screen will still be valid :)

Hi Belinda

We was waiting for second approval (had to refile with first hospital backing out otherwise would have been there over 12 months by now) The lawyer has all our previous docs so hopefully she will refile this week. Been told Texas is giving approval in 60 days So here's hoping that is true. Hubby is going through a lot of changes and will probably need to look for a new job and may move away from where we live which in turn will mean me moving as well (job wise as well as house) so we decided as that looks the case we may as well go to Phoenix. The maddening thing is if he hadn't of backed out would probably be on our way but then again we have 3 dogs we are taking with us and hard at this time of year finding ways to get them out there due to the hot weather less likely to fly them. But I do understand the worries and the reasons to why he backed out and have not and will not hold it against him.
