Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

I looked at previous posts from last year and it seems that some applicant’s status did not change. If someone knows if this is a good sign, please post.
Thanks ?
another member mentioned on here that their status never changed and they ended up getting hired, so it could be a good thing or could be a standard/general update for all applicants

Thanks. I precepted in the NICU and did an extra preceptorship over the Summer in an LDRP unit. I believe they place you based on your senior preceptorship but I would be happy just with an interview this time around. I did not get an interview for the Spring cohort (I graduated in December). I have to try one more time. This is my ultimate dream hospital. ?
Hi everyone!
I know some of you are a little bit anxious about your status being updated. There are two cohort dates which are August 17th and October 5th. If you chose to start your cohort in August, expect an update soon. But if you chose October then you might have to be a little bit of patience. They have to serve those with immediate start dates first. Don't be discouraged about the application. Focus on something else, keep looking elsewhere as well. "Don't keep all your precious eggs in one basket."
For those that got an update on your application, I guess you chose August as your cohort date am I right?

@green.tea There is in the application. It asks when you want to start. With two options August or September. Which is why they posted it on the new grad website. Anyway, it doesn't matter as long as you applied to start in August or October.
