UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

I plan on applying! I'm originally from CA but attended school out of state. Luckily I was able to finish my preceptorship in early March before classes were cancelled. Hoping being an out of state student doesn't affect decisions though

I also plan on applying. I am curious if the complete hiring process length (stated as 3 months) will possibly be longer or shorter due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am also planning on applying. I got to complete a few shifts for preceptorship before the shelter in place order.

The website says its April 29-May 13. I thought it used to be a 1 week period? It looks like they will be updating their system starting tomorrow night so maybe that has something to do with the extended period. For people graduating this Spring I wonder if taking NCLEX before the start date will be a problem and if less people will be eligible to apply due to some schools not graduating on time.

I am not seeing the new nurse residency job application posting that was supposed to open at midnight. Anyone else?

I've been checking every few hours and don't see anything either.

I started the application and then when I tried going to the next section it said there was an error. When I tried to log out and log back in the posting was unavailable. It also says the system is updating until May 5th so I wonder if it might be best to wait to apply until then.

The application is open right now and I submitted! The job ID is 7652 and the job title is "New Grad Nurse Residency Program."

P.S. Does anyone know what "PR Certification" is? It's in the Job Description under Required Qualifications.

I see where the issue might be...

When you click the link to apply from the Nurse Residency Program description page, it takes you here. Instead of clicking "Browse Jobs" as the directions say, click Returning Applicants.

That will take you to the page below. On the right, under UC Davis Health Jobs, click External Candidates.

That should take you to the following page, on which you can see the nurse residency program job opening listed.

You might have to make an account first. I created mine a while back.
