UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Published

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

Thank you! It's working for me now!

Just wanted to join in and say that I was also able to apply! Thanks for the help from above!

sgriffith Thanks so much for your help! Finally found the application.

Hey everyone! I applied today and am so hoping to get in! What units did you all request in your cover letter? I am trying for med-surg.

The application is open right now and I submitted! The job ID is 7652 and the job title is "New Grad Nurse Residency Program."

P.S. Does anyone know what "PR Certification" is? It's in the Job Description under Required Qualifications.

Good eye. Looks like the job posting was recently edited and they originally meant "CPR" (BLS cert) instead of "PR". I had to double check if I was on the right job listing because I didn't know new grads needed a Public Relations cert!

Just submitted my application as well. Thank you for proving us with the steps on how to get to the application. From previous posts on allnurses it seems like the job post is different from other years. Other years there are individual job post for different unit openings. This year it seems very broad.

To those that applied, did you upload your cover letter/resume/unofficial transcript PDF file to where it says "attach resume"?

Yup, that's what I did.

Just wondering, did anyone attach letters of recommendation as well?

No, that wasn’t included in the directions and there was no mention, so I didn’t add them. Also I know past (accepted!) applicants who did not include letters, but then included them in portfolios they brought in person to interviews

I only included what was in the directions and did its just like the page said. I only uploaded the PDF with my cover letter, resume and transcripts. I uploaded it all to the resume upload and filled out the rest of the application.

@sgriffith @NewNurs2020 Great, thank you for the quick replies! Just wondering because on a past thread I read some people included LOR under the "cover letter" submission. Good luck to everyone!

Which units is everyone hoping to be considered for? ?
