UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

I included a couple letters of recommendation after my transcripts in the single file upload. I don't think it matters much if they are included or not, just so long as you have the required documents.

I'm trying for med-surg since it's where I did my preceptorship. What are you trying for?

For those who applied, how/where did you express interest for the unit you hoped to be hired into? I didn't see what units are participating in the New Grad program this year? Did you see it on the application?

I’ve been told they direct your application to open positions based on your preceptorship or other experience. You don’t apply for specific positions.

I included my desired units in my cover letter and why I would be a good fit there.

When I go to "External Candidates" under UC Davis Health Jobs, it says the site is under maintenance ?

That's correct - as of last night at 10pm, the site shut down for maintenance and will reopen on May 5th at 8am. So it was only open for about 12 hours yesterday and will be back up again next week. It's stated on the residency description page:

Yeah unfortunately they had scheduled maintenance from last night until May 5.

I know in previous application cycles there was a questionnaire emailed after applying that needed to be completed. I'm not sure if we should be expecting this, but if so, has anyone received an additional questionnaire from UC Davis Health to fill out?

I've only heard of questionnaires being sent after interviews.

I was wondering, is a bachelors required? I remember reading it said preferred but was not sure.

It is preferred. I emailed someone from HR about degree requirements and was told it depends on the unit and their needs as to who moves forward but that it is very competitive with a large applicant pool.

Hi, was anyone able to find the link to apply after maintenance? I followed the directions given above, however it is not showing whenever I search for it ?
