  1. I found my rental on a UC Davis Health webpage that has housing listings (it’s geared towards medical residents but is available for all). There is also a facebook group for the fall 2020 new grads - something like UC Davis Nurse residency Fall 2020.
  2. Sure! I graduated in December from an ABSN program with a 4.0 GPA. I received my NC RN license in February and my California RN license just a couple of weeks ago. I did my TTP on a med/surg/oncology unit, am a member of sigma theta tau, and have worked for a couple of years as a CNA in a rehab hospital. I have some foreign language skills, a prior bachelors degree from 2009, and career that involved a lot of management and customer service experience. It sounds like they'll continue calling through the next month(s), so don't lose hope!
  3. Hi everyone! I received an offer today for patient care resources (float pool) for the August start date! I got a call from the manager on 6/29 to schedule a phone interview. I had my phone interview on 7/2, got a reference check email that same day. I didn't hear anything until this afternoon, when I received my offer from HR. From what I understand of the process, if you've already interviewed but don't receive an offer for August, you're still in the pool for October. In addition, I believe they will continue reaching out to offer interviews to people for the October start date. I was told that offers for October can come as late as September.
  4. I think I remember reading in a thread from a previous cohort that this happened to them... I think it is just part of the process!
  5. That's great; I hope you get the position! ??
  6. @hiremeplease how did your interview go?
  7. I am curious about the format of interviews as well! Are other hospitals in the region holding in-person interviews right now?
  8. I just looked up UCSD Health Human Resources and called the number provided.
  9. I spoke with someone in the recruitment office. She said the new grad program was delayed, they didn't know when the new grad positions would be posted, and recommended to continue checking the website.
  10. I don't recall an option to choose August vs October, but the application did have a question with available start date - is that what you're referring to @deroxxy?
  11. @ENTnurse thank you so much for chiming in here! It’s reassuring to hear from someone who has already been through this process successfully!
  12. No, I didn’t request a specific unit in my cover letter.
  13. My status updated to “application under review” yesterday. I applied on 5/7. I did my preceptorship on a med/surg/oncology unit.
  14. Thanks @ENTnurse! That's helpful to know.
  15. Mine still says application received as well. It sounds like in past years, all statuses switched to "routed" at the same time, so I wonder why it is different this year. Either way, by looking at the posts for the previous cohorts, it seems like it is likely still very early in their process. If you do talk to HR, let us know what they say? Good luck!!
