Trump’s assault on Postal Service and voting is a plot against American democracy | Editorial
QuoteOn Thursday morning, after months of attacks on the United States Postal Service and vote-by-mail, President Donald Trump admitted that the two efforts are connected as a part of one voter disenfranchisement effort. In a Fox Business Network interview, Trump said that the sticking point for him in the negotiations over a new coronavirus economic relief package is Post Office funding: “If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting. They just can’t have it.”

Stop making this a political issue. It is a public health issue. yet if you look closely-neither party gives a damn. So I voted for who I feel is best for the economy-because at this point it is my own responsibility to protect myself and my family from those among us. I will say this- try working full time and raising your family, taking care of your marriage, and because your high risk doing it all froM home since this all began-People-it blows. But this is what I’m stuck with. A vaccine is the only hope I have of having a normal life or risk dying of this infection.
I waited I line for an hour to vote in my N95 mask and gloves while handling the papers. Why not absentee ballot? oh-mine got lost in the mail x3:giving me 3 lines to wait in each of those times to cancel the ballot I never received to do an in person vote-so due to never receiving my ballot and needing to cancel it THREE times-I do feel that absentee or mail in ballots have a tendency to disappear. My brother also got a letter saying his absentee ballot was invalidated because his “signature didn’t match the one on file”um-my signature never matched that stupid pad they make us use-I’ve resolved to initials for credit cards- when I shopped in person-a lifetime ago.
Do you think this worst because you are in Alabama? I do. My experience with mail-in was easy and ballot is tracked in Michigan. Of course it hasn't been counted yet so anything bad can happen. Hopefully we will be rid of this sociopath after January and this depressing election scenario will never be repeated again. I grew up in the deep South and have no desire to ever visit again. Except for the peaches, it sucks.
August 2020: How a Biden-Harris Administration Would Handle the COVID-19 Pandemic Differently
... “Every single American should be wearing a mask when they’re outside for the next 3 months at a minimum,” Biden said following an Aug. 13 briefing on the pandemic. “Every governor should mandate mandatory mask-wearing. The estimates by the experts are it will save over 40,000 lives in the next 3 months — 40,000 lives if people act responsibly.”...

A stronger, more effective reopening requires doing the work to keep workers safe, to restore consumer confidence, to support small businesses, to ensure seniors can participate, and to provide parents with the help they need to get back to work....
... Biden will release an aggressive and comprehensive plan for good-paying job creation in the coming days.
To meet the first two challenges, Biden has an eight-part plan to make sure the reopening is safe and strong and sets the foundation for an economy that works for everyone.
Guarantee Testing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for All Called Back on the Job: If we are going to send Americans back to work without having beaten COVID-19 as a nation, workers should know if they or their co-workers are infected. Biden would:
Protect Older Americans, Americans with Disabilities, and Others at High Risk: Discrimination against those at risk or those with COVID-19 cannot be tolerated. Biden would:
Restart Small Business: President Trump’s corrupt economic response has routinely favored corporations over small businesses and largely shut out minority business owners from COVID-19 recovery funds. Biden refuses to allow this crisis to inflict further economic pain on working families and communities of color. Biden would:

Sounds like you need state leadership that is vested in making voting accessible, convenient and secure for the population. Perhaps your votes should be about more than just money.

I am over the virus also, but the virus is not done with us...'we've only just begun' to deal with the real fallout. Have you seen any decrease in cases currently? Our President tried to deal with it as a political problem -- need I remind you for example "it will just go away".... "Let's put Kushner over supplies and our VP over the task force." "Fauci has been wrong so much....he told us not to wear masks (deleting the real reason for the need to conserve PPE supplies for health care providers) ..."
When we get a government in place that supports public health initiatives it can become a public health matter - and let's let the CDC (with a new director that doesn't crumble at pressure) help us all with guidance and instruction.
2nd attempt thwarted by Supreme Court; counties will set aside any mail-in and absentee ballots that arrive after Nov. 3, even if they have a postmark showing that they were sent before Election Day in case further legal appeals by Trump admin. Can add tally to final vote sent to Secretary of State for certification.
U.S. Supreme Court refuses to expedite Pa. mail ballot case, but could still intervene
Quote
The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an eleventh-hour plea by Pennsylvania Republicans to strike down a three-day extension for counties to accept mail ballots but has left open the possibility that it will hear the case and that those votes might not ultimately be counted.
“The question presented by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision calls out for review by this court — as both the State Republican and Democratic Parties agreed when the former applied for a stay,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in a statement, joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch. “But I reluctantly conclude that there is simply not enough time at this late date to decide the question before the election.”
Justice Amy Coney Barrett did not participate in the decision. But with the prospect the high court could still hear the case or related challenges to late ballots, state election officials urged voters not to count on the extension or the U.S. Postal Service, and instead to hand-deliver their mail ballots to counties as soon as possible...

Brett Kavanaugh Forced To Correct Supreme Court Opinion After Vermont Calls Out False Info
This is also a portion of Trump's attack on our democracy. Kavanaugh has no business in that bench seat and neither does his newest coworker. Her flawed judgement is only surpassed by her lack of qualifying experience. They will be used in an attempt to keep Trump in power.
Buckle up.
Did anyone else notice at his Senate hearing how nasty he got a 5pm? That guy needed a drink and he needed it right then! I hope the court doesn't work after 5 pm. After they reverse Roe vs. Wade, I expect that coat hanger abirtins will start up again. But since it only affects women I guess that's OK.
Almost there! However, the latest SCOTUS shouldn't even be allowed to vote on Trump's election nonsense. She'll definitely be biased, especially since the only reason she's there is to disrupt the election. Trump threatened the SCOTUS judges he benched on Twitter yesterday as if they personally work for him. But based on the latest poll data, he's already lost and Biden is already at the number of electoral votes to win hence why Trump is staying hunkered down in the WH instead of fleecing the government at his hotel on election night. He's already defeated.
And did anyone see Jr on Fox looking stoned with the jaw tics? I'm tired of this dog and pony show.
This thread has become little more than an echo chamber for self-righteous communists, socialists and supporters of deviancy and lawlessness to virtue signal and opine. And of course, to personally attack and ostracize those who disagree with them. Irony: while the progressives rail against "rich old white men" -they want to elect a filthy rich old white man who has been in politics for 50 years. The one whose VP pick essentially accused of him racism in the Democrat primary debates, and also said his accusers (of sexual harassment) should be believed. Not to mention his questionable creepy behavior around children. It shows how unprincipled, desperate and power hungry democrats are. If you want higher taxes, more government regulation, poor healthcare, bad trade deals, endless wars and a weaker country -fine, vote Biden/Harris. The people will decide the outcome and if you don't like it, well, that's too bad. We are a republic, not some communist dictatorship that you dream of. Maybe you should move to Cuba since they have such a wonderful healthcare system or Venezuela since they have done away with all economic inequality. The argument is not "won" because you got the last word in; the issue will soon be settled when the votes are counted. I know a lot of unlikely voters who are voting Republican for the first time in their lives because they can see through the nonsense, corruption, hate, and lies. My vote has been cast and I voted for individual liberty, lower taxes, healthcare, jobs, prosperity and peace.

And with these two sentences, you've become the biggest contradiction in this thread. The rest of your post goes on to do exactly these, name calling and all! Just stop. ?
