Here I am considering nursing school at 25 after already completing one bachelors degree in Health Science (that I have yet to find a job with). I feel sometimes like I waited too long to decide but then I read other post and think otherwise. I just don't really know if my Health Science degree can benefit me alone.
So here are my questions... :)
What age did you decide to go into nursing?
When did you graduate?
AND... what field were you in prior to that??
Thanks in advance!

What age did you decide to go into nursing? 18
When did you graduate? LVN 20, RN 30
AND... what field were you in prior to that? Still healthcare, the only jobs I had prior to my LVN was an ER registeration clerk and secretary and a Nurse Tech (CNA).
25 is not too old. If you want it, do it. If really feel like age is a problem then this field is not for you.

AND... what field were you in prior to that?? I work for a school district as an aide
I don't think you are ever to old to pursue something you want.

To answer your question: Yes. If you think you are (too old, too young) then you are. From my perspective, dead is too old. If you're younger than dead, you still have options.

Do whatever you want. Why should you care what age you are for pursuing another field.

I entered nursing at age 23 when I enrolled in a 12-month fast track LVN program. Prior to that, for three years I had worked at a factory that manufactured Charmin toilet paper and Bounty paper towels. And prior to the three-year stint at the factory, I had worked a string of poorly paying jobs in fast food, downscale retail, group homes and temp staffing agencies. Essentially, I had a bunch of jobs prior to entering nursing. However, I never had a career.
I completed the LVN program at age 24. After working as an LVN for several years I completed an LPN-to-ASN transition program at age 29 and received my RN license that same year. My 34th birthday just passed and I will graduate an online BSN completion program within the next month. I plan to keep going and earn a graduate degree.
You are never too old to keep learning and taking strides in your educational attainment. 25 years of age is not old unless negative self-talk has you convinced that you've reached too old an age to accomplish what you want out of life academically.

I was 24 when I enrolled (26 now) and I was a certified medical assistant when I enrolled. I don't think you're ever too old. I have women in my classes that are in their mid 40's and 50's. You're still young, you have plenty of time to settle into a new career. There are people who never stop going to school so they end up with several degrees. As long as you believe you can do it, you can.

What age did you decide to go into nursing? 21 ill be 22 in may
When did you graduate? still doing pre-reqs but I should be entering a nursing school next year. So if I do the math I will be 25 or 26 when i'm actually a nurse.
what field were you in prior to that?? industrial design age 18-19, business age 19-20 now i'm for sure nursing is the career for me, didn't really know what I wanted to be until now. I don't think its to late at all my friend is taking classes with me now and she has a Bachelors degree already but now wants to be a nurse and she about you age. My aunt just became a RN and she is 42, so it depends on how you see it. 25 is not old at all.

What age did you decide to go into nursing? 28 (I'm now 29)
When did you graduate? I will graduate with my BSN at 30 & MSN at 32. (Was just accepted to an accelerated program)
AND... what field were you in prior to that?? I was a proofreader/editor for a marketing firm. It was boring and very unfulfilling.
It's never too late/early to begin thinking about/planning your future.

I am about to graduate this year, I am 30 years old, took up nursing 5 years ago. I actually was a technology graduate before I decided to try nursing. It's been a good decision, imagine my shift from technology to medical.

What age did you decide to go into nursing? Originally, I was 17 when I first decided. But I went back and forth many times, finally deciding for certain this past year (I'm 25).
When did you graduate? I'm currently completing pre-reqs and only have 3 to go after this quarter (God willing.) I plan to apply to BSN programs for Fall 2016 entry. I'm about to graduate with my general AAS this June.
What field were you prior to that? I was a caregiver from 17-22, then switched to predominantly higher education customer service with some caregiving work here and there. I currently work in Financial Aid.
