Be on the lookout for Stony Brook Nursing First letters. Just received my denial letter today.

I also applied for it. I've applied to Stony Brook 2 times prior. It is extremely competitive so I'm hoping this is my way in. Good luck!

There are 2 information sessions at the end of this month. All the info regarding these sessions came with the acceptance letter packet. We don't know much about the program yet.

You can find the course sequence on the nursing site -- it has the layout of all 4 semesters. I don't believe we can register until orientation or thereafter. According to previous years it looks like we have set dates for our registration.

I was going to call also because I had the same thought. The only way I found out was that I saw in my bank account that my check was cashed.

It is 2 points added to your academic preparedness category on the rubric, not 2 points added to your TEAS score specifically.

Oh, wow. Then I was way off lol I guess the old version was 80+ for advanced.

No, 78 is proficient. I believe advanced is 80+. Good luck!

It's all in this thread, but I scored a 78 on the TEAS, I have all my prereqs completed with almost all A's and I have a bachelor's and master's degree. I received my acceptance letter this past Friday.

I did not score advanced on my READ, but I did get in. So there is still hope if you did not score advanced!

I'm going to try to answer some questions as best I can. Financial Aid: you may be able to get financial aid for a summer semester, but you will have to discuss that with the financial aid department. I know I received aid for summer courses when I did my bachelor's degree -- not sure how exactly this works for Suffolk. Also, you should be able to get some aid for part time coursework, meaning either you need a courseload of at least 6 or 9 credits (I forget which - but I also was about to get aid in my bachelor's program for having less than 12 credits). Again, ask the financial aid dept for exact details. Deposit is $100 due March 15 for RN program. It cannot be paid online. They do not provide that option, as the only option they provide is to mail a check with the completed form. I've been around the block a few times - I have an associates from Suffolk already, a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Hopefully I'm giving some helpful info.

Columbia University MDE 2017
It's usually the second week of February. And the email will send you to your acceptance decision. No interviews for this program. You'll either get a yes, no, or waitlist right then.

SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018
Hey everyone! Made the last minute decision to apply. Spoke to admissions and they said they are still accepting applications (thankfully). Now I'm just waiting for my letters of rec to be submitted. Congrats to those of you who have already been accepted! I'm crossing my fingers for myself. I volunteer at Sloan Kettering and I just finished a CNA program.
