To Do: Over Summer Vacation

Published

What do yall have to do over summer vacation? Mine is only a week, so my list is short (sort of).

  • Deep clean everything. (Vacuming, dusting, all that stuff that never gets done).
  • Keep up excercise program (getting harder as the weeks progress).
  • Sign up for scholarship test.
  • Make a nursing school binder (I'm a pre-nursing student working of my pre-reqs).
  • Figure out if I want to sign up for the CNA course, and when. (how?)
  • Email leader of Christian Student Fellowship. This is a letter of my testimony as a leader and it is sent to sponcers (etc).
  • Scholarship binder (dates, things, etc).
  • Read some books for fun! :)

Whats your plan??

i'll have 19 days off after i finish anatomy/phisiology 102 and before starting microbio and chem for summer school. as i'll be waiting for the dreaded(?) acceptance/rejection letter, i'll be doing as much as possible to keep my mind off that letter :uhoh3:....i think ill try to catch up on sleep, kick my running up a notch, and try my hardest to relax! here's to hoping for an acceptance letter:nurse:

Work on my dosage calculations And enjoy my first summer off!

Specializes in IMCU.
Specializes in Emergency/Cath Lab.

In this order:

2 Week trip to Orlando/ Disney / Colorado

2 month long ICU internship

2 week trip to Brazil

You can go ahead and hate me now :)

  • Well I will be taking summer classes, all of which are online classes. The classes are (1)Medical Terminology, (2)Human Sexuality, (3)Pharmacology, and (4)Pathophysiology.

  • I will be taking a trip to Louisiana for about 5 days for a family reunion (really looking forward to that).

  • I will also be working full time in order to save as much money as I can because I start NS in the fall and will be moving out of state to attend the program.

  • Spend as much time as possible reviewing Test Success and Fundamentals Success to get used to NCLEX style questions and get a heads up on what I'll be learning this upcoming fall semester.

  • Review basic nursing skill/health assessment videos on Youtube.

  • Attend my nursing school orientation!

  • And since Im moving out of state, I'll need to find a weekend where I go to Cincinnati, OH (where I'll be moving for NS) and look at apartments and sign a lease.

  • Go furniture shopping.

  • Pack.

  • And finally, move to my new residence and start nursing school!

:uhoh3: I have a feeling Im going to go crazy this summer, but Im ready for it!

Whoa! Thats gonna be a HUGE weather change for you.

But I'll be attending Christ College...

WOW!! Starmickey03 you have a LOT of stuff going on this summer. Try not to stress yourself out because some of those things can become overwhelming.

Well my last final is May 12 and I have until June 7 to complete 10 chapters of dosage med before I start NS on June 7, but I am trying to go to my cousin reception on Memorial weekend, so I'll see.

I am so excited about it though! I was born and mostly raised in Oklahoma...I am crossing my fingers that we get some great thunderstorms while I am there. And snow....! And a "real" autumn complete with leaves changing colors! I can't wait to experience seasons again!!!

LOL...well I can assure you that you'll get a taste of ALL the seasons. I've lived in Michigan my whole life and MI and OH/KY weather is exactly the same. The weather is crazy around here, one day its 75 degrees and sunny, and the next day it'll be 30 degrees and snowing. Some people love it but I absolutely HATE it. As soon as I finish nursing school Im going to look for jobs in the south and the west, no where else. If Im lucky I'll be able to land a job in Houston:D
