I'm a newly licensed CNA and have orientation at a home health care agancy on Wednesday. I was wonder when you go on your job, what do you bring? Do you wear scrubs?

I'm taking it in the Fall also! Along with Micro, Stats, +2 Humanaties classe! ughh!

Hey yall! So l'm taking my pre-reqs right now and plan on entering NS in May 2011. My dream is to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and I have anything and everything having to do with babies and childbirth! What do you think of becoming a doula? How about working as one and going to school? Thanks!

Yeah I had that problem over my 1 week of summer vacation. LOL. I was so not use to having nothing on my todo list. Then summer semester started and it's so hard. I'm taking 7 credits in 7 weeks. I'm either studying or in school all day long. I have no life. I shouldn't even be on here.

I never had a dress code for class, and thought that this thread was a little silly. (Not really, because everyone is just curious). Anyways yesturday was my first day of Summer semester and it turns out, just my luck, that we can't wear shorts/short skirts or opened toed shoes in my Chemistry lab. I didn't have this in Bioloby but I can see their concerns. Hah, it's a little silly because we are in the Sunshine state :)

I know of a community college near where I use to live in NY that had a 2 year program (four semesters) where you jointly completed your pre-reqs and nursing courses, and you recieved your RN at the end (providing you pass the NCLEX). Kind of makes me upset when I think how much time and energy I'm putting into these non-nursing courses.. but whatever. :)

Well my last final was Monday morning, and my summer classes start this Monday comming up. So I'm one busy lady! :) So far I have had a 24 hour pity-party (dumb boys ), jogged (keeping up my exercise plan), went to a dance practice for my church, tanned (and got burnt) at the beach, and went skating! Now I have work and a bunch of home projects to do! Ohh and more jogging! :)

Seems like everyone deffenetly isn't going to be bored this summer! :) I have been pretty productive so far (although summer doesn't "officially" start for me till 10am on Monday after my last final). Life is good! :)

Next spring (the last semester of pre-reqs) I will need. A&P 2 w/Lab (4) Government (3) Speach (3) Spanish (3) Medical Terminology (3) So as you can see, I'm swamped then too.

What do yall have to do over summer vacation? Mine is only a week, so my list is short (sort of). Deep clean everything. (Vacuming, dusting, all that stuff that never gets done). Keep up excercise program (getting harder as the weeks progress). Sign up for scholarship test. Make a nursing school binder (I'm a pre-nursing student working of my pre-reqs). Figure out if I want to sign up for the CNA course, and when. (how?) Email leader of Christian Student Fellowship. This is a letter of my testimony as a leader and it is sent to sponcers (etc). Scholarship binder (dates, things, etc). Read some books for fun! :) Whats your plan??
