To Do: Over Summer Vacation

Published

What do yall have to do over summer vacation? Mine is only a week, so my list is short (sort of).

  • Deep clean everything. (Vacuming, dusting, all that stuff that never gets done).
  • Keep up excercise program (getting harder as the weeks progress).
  • Sign up for scholarship test.
  • Make a nursing school binder (I'm a pre-nursing student working of my pre-reqs).
  • Figure out if I want to sign up for the CNA course, and when. (how?)
  • Email leader of Christian Student Fellowship. This is a letter of my testimony as a leader and it is sent to sponcers (etc).
  • Scholarship binder (dates, things, etc).
  • Read some books for fun! :)

Whats your plan??

I'm going on a 5-week road trip across the states then coming back to Michigan to find a job as a nurse extern

I will be reviewing for and taking the NCLEX-RN:specs:. That and working as much as possible are my only plans for the summer.

Boy, do I ever have big plans for the following summer!!

I will buy a soap dish and decorate it with stickers.

My new books should be arriving soon too, that makes me happy!

Well I am done with second semester of nursing school.....I have the entire summer off ( from now unitil mid Aug!) All Im am going to do is spend my time with my son and go to California for a month and visit my mom and the rest of my family! :) Since this will be my last summer off before I graduate, I figured I might as well enjoy it before I go off into the working world as an RN!

* catch up on sleep!!!

* WORK! make some $$$ because during nursing school i have to cut back on work...

* get an A in my public health rotation that starts May 10th - June 11th :)

* week trip to NC :)

* working on some practice questions to prep for the NCLEX and a HESI exit exam that I have to take, but I'm not going to overdo it...for the most part I'm planning on relaxing as much as possible!!

Specializes in Critical Care, Clinical Documentation Specialist.

I am finished my A.S. on May 9th. I happen to be out of state from my home, so I can actually relax once the semester is over. I'm going to play some computer games, start outlining my patho and BioChem books for fall (I'm actually excited about this! go figure :p) I also plan on kayaking around the puget sound area with my hubby and going up to visit a friend who has a floating house on Vancouver Island. Perhaps get some salmon fishing and wildlife watching in. It's going to be a real vacation!!

When I get home in July or August, I'm going to finish painting my house (ran out of time between semesters last fall), clean my garage and under my house and have a huge garage sale. This is going to be a great summer! :D

I only have one more final left and thats tomorrow :)

I'm going to spend time with my 3 kiddos.

Get my wisdom teeth out - ouch!

Read for fun - already started that!

Take Pathophysiology - starts beg. of June

Clean my house and get it reorganized

Study for Med-surg that starts in the Fall

Have fun and chillax!

Have you ever been to the pudget sound before?? I lived off of it for 10 years and LOVED it and miss it. We moved to CO from WA and I love a lot here but I miss "home". I will visit this summer.

Hey there Mi Vida Loca!

We moved from WA to CO as well - small world isn't it?!

I love CO too, but we are thinking of moving back to WA once I finish school. I think I will miss the CO sun and heat the most. I am already feeling the difference in the week I have been here in Olympia. It's been in the 50s and low 60s and I wore my underarmor when we went to the farmer's market - I'm absolutely freezing here (darn humidity)! But, I love walking along the docks so much I'm willing to bundle up even in summer just to be next to the water, I have missed it so much. Already been pigging out on fresh sea food too!! lol

Where in WA are you going to be heading this summer?

Very Small world, or so it seems. I have really considered moving back to WA after my 1 year experience or at least getting a summer cabin there. I really love FoCo especially for raising my kids so that is why I think I might settle for a cabin until they are done with school.

So you're in WA now?

I will be in Kitsap county visiting people in Silverdale, Bremerton and Port Orchard (where I lived the longest like 10 blocks from the docks to the sound). That is where I grew up. My brother lives in Lacey though and last year I took my daughter to the Childrens museum in Oly, it was absolutely wonderful.

Every time I watch the Twilight movies I really really start missing home. LOL

What area are you from? I have camped all over the state, used to always camp memorial day weekend at Neah Bay

My husband really misses getting fresh oysters and goeyduck (yuck and yuck) but give me some snow crab and shrimp anyway!!!!

He would actually go out and catch them and squid to and of course Salmon.
