What do yall have to do over summer vacation? Mine is only a week, so my list is short (sort of).
Whats your plan??
^^^ Mmmm, I love sees candies. Thank god my mom sent me a big box of it for easter or I would be driving back to denver to get some more of it.
Just had our last lecture and its finals week next week. After this last week I am adding SLEEP to my list. 10 hours of sleep in 4 days is just not cutting it.

You just had to rub that in, didn't you? Though I was just in Belgium and brought back about 2 kilos of chocolate, it's not the same as good old See's. VERY GOOD, mind, but doesn't have the nostalgia points.
OMG, I forgot sleep. But I don't get enough even out of school, so why would I think I'll get more in the summer?

Eating a giant scocthmallow as I type this ( if you dont know what that is google it ) It is real nostalgia. My parents and gma always gave me see's when I was a little kid living in California. It is a childhood memory that just wont go away, which is fine because they are just that good.
I think you forget to sleep when you dont get it enough. I know my sleep schedule is gonna be whacked out again working overnights. Gotta love it

I had a friend in Europe that would send me Galaxy Bars, OMG they are to die for. SOOO SOOOOO good. Their is a specialty chocolate ship in Boulder that has them, my neighbor is there a lot and gets me some from time to time.
Now I am really craving some chocolate.
I heard (haha saw) a couple of you mention a test success book...what is that? Is it just a NCLEX exam prep or more of a testing skill book? I just got my acceptance letter into the nursing program:yeah:and I am wanting to put this summer to good use. Thanks!
Its a book that teaches beginning nursing students how to relax for tests as well as how to study for them. It goes over the different types of NCLEX style questions and teaches how they should be answered. The book basically teaches how to be a critical thinker. Im reviewing the book before I start in the fall.
It comes with a CD that has 895 practice questions on it and the book also has hundreds of questions dealing with fundamentals. I seriously recommend it. I bought it after I read peoples comments on here about the Success series and after I saw all the positive reviews it had on Amazon.
They have a series of these books and they are designed to be used as a study guide for exams. For example, in the Test Success book they have a section on health assessment, basic needs, safety and mobility, etc. So when you're going to have an exam on basic needs you would go through the Success book and practice using the questions in that section. All questions come with answers and rationales.
Some of the other books in the series are:
Fundamentals Success
Med-Surg Success
Pharmacology Success
Maternal and Newborn Success
Psychiatric Mental Health Success
They basically have a Success book for every rotation you'll have in nursing school. I suggest you look at their reviews on Amazon, etc. I plan on getting every book as I need it. Hope I helped some!
