The abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood.  I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

Ah yes, this is just like 1939 Germany.

Anyway just to be clear and so that I don't misrepresent what youre saying, what exactly is your definition of a MAGA?

@subee still  would love to know specifically what your definition of a MAGA is?

@Beerman, BSN, why don't you offer a definition? Do you agree with the one that TMB offered?

Whoops!  Anyone who announces on a national broadcast radio show that it's OK to call his daughter, Ivanka, a "hot piece of ***", is a pervert.  The MAGA's didn't think this kind of behavior or language is important enough to disqualify Trump and that's all I have to know about them.

A definition of the MAGA movement has been offered.  Not a definition of what makes one a member of that movement.

I don't use the term.  Why can't one of the half dozen or so folks here who do use that term seem to be able to define what a MAGA is?

"A MAGA" is a member of the MAGA movement. Someone generally supportive of the MAGA movement and willing to defend the tenets or leadership of that movement.  That seems like a logical extrapolation.

In other news, who thinks that the GOP is entitled to 5 more Congressional seats in Texas? Trump thinks so.  Fascists and authoritarians feel entitled to lots of things that aren't really available to them in a functioning Republic.

For me it's relatively simple that MAGA as a noun is someone that believes supports and strives to make changes towards the MAGA (adjective) agenda.

I guess a better way to say it should be MAGAist or MAGAian.  Like a Scientologist believes in Scientology and a Christian believes in Christianity.  But MAGA seems to be accepted noun.

But why sidetrack into a topic we've already discussed?

Anyway, I guess it's not corrupt if it's done boldy out in the open.  Count Florida in.

That does seem to be the case.  An example is that so many Trump supporters were convinced that Biden was running a corrupt scheme where people paid his brother and son to have access to Obama's VP even though months of investigation and hours of testimony and thousands of pages of documents could produce no evidence.  None.

Yet they ignore Trump asking people to buy his cryptocurrency in order to meet with him as POTUS to talk business. They ignore the grifting at his properties.  They ignore the bribes (what else should we call that jet?).  This common phenomenon is evidence that the derangement syndrome Trump voters like to reference is a merely another projection of a republican issue.

Anyone who takes their leadership from trump is a magadonian, in my opinion. A pretty diverse group, too.

Your turn.

"Take their leadership from Trump"?  Interesting.  I would contend that a vast majority of us don't take our leadership from any politician.

I guess it's somewhat comforting that when such awful things are said about "magadonians", at least your speaking of a small group of people.

Again, not a term I use so why would I define it?

Seems like a broad definition.   I support some but not all things on the "MAGA agenda".  And most if not all of those things aren't any different than what typical conservative wants.   Enforce immigration law, against over-taxation and over-regulations would be examples.

Seems a bit radical that some would loathe or think the world would better off without those kinda people...

IMO, it's simply a term Trump-haters have fostered a negative connotation for and now use to lazily lump every Trump supporter into one type of person and to which they can attribute to every negative Trump narrative.

Well, now that we've cleared up the confusion about what it might mean to be MAGA again, maybe Trump defenders will stop bringing it up and we could talk about current events like the sex trafficking coverup that is going on in the DOJ. I think the co-conspirator POTUS might be looking to let his old friend Ghis out of jail.
