QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

I just can't
So it's okay for fellow citizens in the same country to call the opposing political party including VOTERS: "facists", "Nazis" "terrorists" extreemist, "existential threat" ON AND ON...... Then minimize and down play 3 assassination attempts or even that Trump deserved it?
That's okay but find Trump "throwing an ally" under the bus too far? That unacceptable and terrible? A "dictator"?
You can't you are right. Don't even try.
Trump isn't trying to make friends and play nice nice. Nice nice doesn't stop people from dying in wars. When it comes to the Ukraine war Trump wants the war to end to prevent more people from dying. If that means being cordial with Putin and insulting Zelensky, then so be it.

Particularly considering that this can't be a CIA manual, as the CIA wasn't established until 1947. It's an extremely outdated Office of Strategic Services (OSS) field manual published in 1944.
Microphone drop........
And Trump wasn't born in 1944 LOL.
Still hasn't quite explained how any of this had to do with Trump.

Trump and Musk and their sychophants are fascists. They fit the traditional definition. This is not a term thrown around arbitrarily, like communist or socialist. It is being used for specifically to describe very specific ideology and attitudes.
It matters that Trump uses gas lighting and projection to try to mislead his supporters about Ukraine. That strategy is right out of the fascist playbook, so to speak. It's unfortunate that everyone knows a fascist in the USA. Republican politics got us here.
Oh well. Next time the democrats should put forth a better campaign for the presidency considering this time they lost to a "fascist ". Or the voters rather a "fascist" than a Democrat for the POTUS. Not saying much for them is it?

So what's your question again?
Just curious how you:
chare said:Just curious how you:
- Concluded this was a CIA field manual when it was published 3 years before the CIA'S inception, and
- How this fit into the discussion as, without some context, it didn't seem to fit with any of the ongoing discussions.
I took some editorial liberty with the origins of our modern CIA back in a time when we were engaged in a global struggle with fascism. What I shared was part of that struggle, albeit designed for use offshore.
I think it fits perfectly with current events.

A distinction without a difference. You've reinforced the point that the US has a looong history of disrupting stable societies - including attempted genocide.
It didn't start with trump and the current crop of morons. It won't end when they are defeated.
Some of us witches believe in the rule of three: the energy you put out comes back to you three times over. Karma's a beast..
Funny how you can't find this story on any of the "legacy media".
"MSNBC parent company, NBCUniversal, has settled its "uterus collector" lawsuit that saw Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, and Chris Hayes' programs make "verifiably false" statements that a Georgia gynecologist Dr. Mahendra Amin performed unnecessary hysterectomies at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) center"

First paragraph is a deflection that has nothing to do with anything I have said. You seem stuck on repeat and that's fine with me, but doesn't mean I will engage you back. Save it for TMB, he loves this stuff.
The last paragraph I'll address. If Trump wants to stop the war and stop funding and Ukraine because he's such a kind hearted President and wants to save people's lives, he can do so without lying and making stuff up and demonizing Ukraine and leaving them out of the equation and using the Russian playbook.
It seems with you ends justify the means.

I saw it on NPR and passed over it due to lack of interest. Not an earth shattering story, and relatively new, but certainly can understand conservative press reporting it.
I'm glad the case was disproven I remember reading about it and didn't much believe it.

It's straightforward. Please don't ask what might be confusing.
